Nicholson Joker 1989

We've found a way to do a custom printed version of these pants in either wool or cotton. I've got one guy interested, and will post images if and when these get made.

I didn't want to make another thread on this being as this is one is relatively new and it's related to my post, but I was sitting in the tub today thinking why I was destined for greatness (actually, I was at work and I didn't want to do actual work). Instead of waiting for someone to make good pattern for some Nicholson Pants, I decided to do it myself.

Some quick research and some time invested later, I whipped this pattern up; ready for use with Spoonflower for your own needs.
I'm not entirely confident that the scaling of the shapes is correct, but I'm sure you people out there are clever enough to reshape if needed.

Based off of the sharpest image I could find that showcases some of the pant's details (attached), but if there are any inaccuracies you guys find, feel free to comment.

EDIT: A few tweaks here and there made.

That is really helpful PPP, thanks.

And Indy, I am eagerly waiting some updates.

Here are the "close enough" pants I have on my Joker lifesize. I found women's tights that were very close to the pattern. I bought three pairs and had my seamstress combine them to create a larger pair of slacks:

They aren't perfect which is why I am anxious to hear about Indy's.

I can do the pants anytime someone is ready. It's a fully custom job (custom print, made-to-measure) so it's not cheap, but anyone who is interested can drop me a line any time.

Anything to help out a fellow enthusiast.

Bit of an old bump but I just saw Magnoli's Victorian Boots: a black lace up the middle instead of buttons and dyed two shades of purple; perfect Joker boots.

I've been looking ALL over for a good 1989 Joker. I think Indy might be my best bet. However don't think I'll be able to afford any time soon.

GG,

Great work on your stuff, everything is very cool and those gloves and boots are amazing!

Hopefully this isn't considered a hijack, not trying to do that just offering some additional information and providing the pants print pattern that I designed.

As you know I have been working on a Nicholson Joker for quite some time. Back in 2008 I spent a considerable time searching to find the right pattern of wool for the pants to no avail. So I spent time researching, creating and tweaking the pattern and had it custom woven by the House of Tartan. Later I found out they had registered it in the Tartan registry: Tartan Details - The Scottish Register of Tartans There is a pretty decent shot of the pattern there.

Here is the Joker that I have been working on for a client for 5 years. My parts have been done for several years, just waiting on him to order the boots from Indy and I can complete this guy. I just decided to add the buzzer ring. I'm almost done with the buzzer part and need to add it to the ring base. The vest has the correct buttons and the shirt also has the correct cufflinks. The only thing that I couldn't get done correctly was the polka dot tie.

Great work by everyone here!
