I checked on your tracking numbers with Steve last night and he's still out of town. hasn't forgotten you. :) I'm betting you get the bugs before you get the tracking numbers. :)

no worries Dave, actually I got a notice from the customs today to pick up a parcel, I think this is it, will report by latest this Friday

thanks,
Kostas

Dave can I get put back on the list please... Almost a month and no cockpit. I'll let you know if it rocks up.

Cheers.

Steve is gonna contact you. He has the customs # for your cockpit package........he luckly made 4 of them so he's dropping a second one in the mail to you. You will likely get them both, he just wants to make sure :)

Cool. Have a minor update on TIE fighters:

Resin koolshade and TIE wing star master pattern have been finished and are now with Steve. He's sending to his mould guy who will create moulds to reproduce it for a cost effective version of the hero models for those that don't want to shell out that much dough for the real stuff.

He will also send me the TIE wing star (new master pattern) and the resin Koolshade and I am planning on building the new standard wing, again which will go to the mould maker as one single wing piece. The whole wing will then be moulded in one piece and become the new standard wing. It should look identical to the hero wings from the film. :) Pics should be posted soon. As soon as these babies get in rubber, the TIE's will finally be finished up and shipped out and we can finish clearing this backlog.

Dave :)

I have two TIE kits with old Wingstars and three rolls of vintage Koolshade, so I want to be in on the ground floor to get the better/newer stars! And one more full hero kit, lol.

Hi,

Not sure anyone can actually help me with an issue I am having with Steve but I figured this is a good thread to post it on. About 3 maybe even 4 years ago I sent Steve a casting of the studio Batwing from the '89 Batman movie. We had talked about making some kits or buildups. Anyway, long story short that never happened and Steve was to send my kit back. We connected several times on the phone and he promised each time to send it within the next few days. Never happened and now he does not respond to email or answer his phone. Today, for the first time when I called his number someone answered and said I had the wrong number. Normally I get the Terminator elevator music before leaving a message. So maybe he has changed his number?

Anyway if some of you are in contact with him maybe you can say it to him. All I want is my model He has had it longer than I ever had it and it was an expensive kit. I don't think I am being unreasonable and I have been very polite and professional with him. Its not like I am waiting for him to finish a kit or make molds or cast something. Just want my kit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

John

Is steve filling more orders before ties or is he getting what is owed.

I am owed a complete shuttle and two bases and was told that these was going to be done over a month ago, this is just dragging on and on.

I keep being told that he is to busy with work.

If there is new orders being taken for these ties it is not right when there is people owed and is still kept waiting till he fills new orders , I thought this was old orders not adding new ones.

Sorry, no new orders guys. Just backlog at this time. :)

Shuttle wings were the issue as the wings kept turning out warped. That was a problem with the resin/process and has now been corrected. Still the shuttle backlog will be fulfilled after the TIE backlog which is by far, the oldest. We're going as fast as we can go. He's only had the completed wing bits for a few weeks. :) Trust me I've seen them and they are worth the wait.

Steve is a cop. If you have never actually spoken to a cop, give it a shot. You'll learn a plenty! He is a busy guy. When he's not coppin, he's a husband and a part time resin monkey!!!! :)

Again, no new orders period. My guess is that when the backlog is fulfilled, Steve will be ridding himself of this stuff and letting other guys take over his projects. it's simply too much stress for him anymore.

Propcollector, you need to read Moffeaton's posts a bit more carefully. He's not saying even remotely what you think he's saying. I'm dense and I can see that pretty clearly!

I'll have some more updates to post shortly. I'm dragging my feet, but rest assured Steve is not! I'll update when I get a skinny minute. Be patient with me.

Dave :)

Well, they're still at it, in the form of snarky jokey oblique comments. Sure makes me want to leave for green er pastures, but there aren't any (LOL).

As a friend said on the phone yesterday, pretty soon, the studio scale forum will just be two guys in an empty room talking to each other.

Yeah, that is unfortunately the same with many of our beloved props. I like the old days when we all banded together and built things and patted one another on the backs for great finds, great builds and sharing was the law of the land. The elitism crept in slowly but surely over many years. Sad but true.
