Newbie - Detroit Become Human Cosplay

Hi there

I'm a bit of a newbie at this. I know what I want, I'm a graphic designer in my 9-5 so I think I'm coming at this from a designers point of view, and I've sourced various materials that I think would be ideal, but I'm at something of a crossroad!




I'm looking to cosplay as this character...so my options are

A) I could buy a white nurse/beautician/salon style tunic...along with an identical black one...and cut and stitch them to create her tunic.
Or B) do I try to find a sewing pattern for such clothing, and have my friend sew it for me? (which she has kindly offered to do, though that means relinquishing some control of the project)

If I leave some links to materials I've found..you can judge...maybe say 'thats ideal' or 'no i wouldn't do that' and such.
