new weapon for predator?????

i know the predator has ceremonial daggers, blade gauntlets, and spears but what about a full sized claymore or something

i think Bovine has a short roman type sword on his side for his predator but what if there was a long braveheart style Scottish claymore strapped across the back

If they think an auto-aim plasmacannon is too easy, yet want to be at range they could use bow and arrow. Of course it would be a retractable one with an electric string like Jessica Biel used in Blade:Trinity.

My new pred has old school weapons cause he lives for centuries at high pressure in the deep seas of different worlds.

* gaunlet made of swordfish bill
* spikes on both his arms of spinalchords of ancient non-earthlike and earthlike animals
* sword in the form of a rib bone from a alien creature
* spear made of an enormous spike of a ray which can fold in.

I think that it's gotten to the point where we would have to come up with some more original weapons. I don't think it would be that hard. The way I see it, is that the Predators weapons all have multiple uses. Also, a big factor is that each weapon HAS to have some kind of a grisly, or just horribly wrong and awful PAY-OFF. For example, the Net-Launcher traps the creatures prey, but at the same time the net constricts around the victim. Sassy! The spear, is... well it's a spear. He spears prey with it, BUT it also electrocutes the victim. Nice! The wrist-blades are a tool, but they're also used as a weapon. Saucey! The Cannon, Disc, and Darts are more straight-forward; with the exception of the Disc being used as a melee weapon as well. In AVP:Extinction, there were a few Predators that used "Bleeder-Spears." Again, to disable the prey and drain them of blood.

I had an idea for a type of dart that's fired from either side of the blade-gauntlet housing. Basically, it's kind of a one-shot deal in the sense it's fired towards center body mass. If it's aimed anywhere else it just wouldn't have the same kind of effect (well it would, but that's not the point.) I call it the Rib-Spreader. Upon impact, the body of the spear/dart "umbrellas" inside the victim causing massive lacerations. The dart itself is meant to unbelievably cripple prey - not necesarily kill right away. So, the Predator will circle you gloating while you're on the ground and this thing is tearing you up on the inside. I tried to think of it this way - I think, that, the Predators are more masochistic in their ways, and get some kind of morbid enjoyment out of killing stuff. I know they have established rules and practices for each hunt; but I think once those are respectfully honored, all bets are off.

I've got more ideas, I just need to put them down on paper first.

There are allot of funny ones on here, especially the fricken laser beams attached to their heads gig.I can just see Dr evil saying it,lol.I like the hologram idea, something like in Total Recall. Also thought the grappling hook was a sweat idea.Honestly I personally can not think of anything else.Cool topic btw.

OK that is cool. lol . I allso really like the idea of the bow and arrow

Amazin design great idea. But don't ya think its kindar cheating in a hunt to kill with. I mean there's no challenge when using it on your tropy kills at least but against many opponents its ok.

For the Combi Spear thing this thing is the size of a watermelon seed compared to the Dragons that this particular hunter uses for giant flying dragons.
Talk about cheatin' remember in Predator 1 where the predator has invisibility in an already hard to see jungle, plus shooting his plasma caster while invisible. If he we're to not cheat he should turn off his invisibility and do it old school.
So I don't think its cheating, its about using the right tools for the right job.

You raise a good point though i didn't know the size of the pray item.

Hear is the bow/glaive and arrows that I drew.

I like your idea, I was thinking about the same thing for my concept character. I'll have to draw a sketch and post it. My version would use the same technology as their spear, where it would fold down smaller so that the Pred could carry it.

The Predator has some weapons that ancient war tribes used. The Spears for one. Their Shuriken resembles a twisted combat version of a boomerang [might just be me though]. I did think the Smart Disc looked like a Frisbee on steroids.

A handheld plasma like gun that shoots an organic bullet at you that then eats at your brain cells to cripple you or if needed they can be set to aggressive to kill you. The bullet contains an organism that acts as a parasite. Eating at brain matter or muscles. And they can be set to eat different parts of the human body upon entry.

I'm thinking about making a couple of tojo-blades for my predator... You know, like in Van Helsing! But instead of the pumping mechanism I plan on using a motor. The spinning blades of Predator! o_O
