New Spiderman webshooters - who's gonna jump on these!?

With these new close-ups, I agree with you, it looks less like a watch within a watch. But, it's probably still a found item.

I may take a stab at the center once we get a little free time at the shop.

I don't think the center piece is a watch-within-a-watch - it'd be very small. I think the center piece is likely to be a custom machined item, and is likely to be the fluid cartridge which is inserted into the shooter. I'd love to be proven wrong and have it be a found item too, though!

The center part is probably the tank filled with web fluid, it should be removable so Peter can change it out. He was always running out of webs at the worst time in the comics.

Maybe it's still part of the watch, a red backlight or something? :confused

It could be a really small nurse or pendant watch

Those look like small rocker switches on the center piece.

The red lens on the inner watch part looks like it could be from a real watch, but it also looks very much like a red bingo chip....Looks about the right size too.

That's clearly a "retro" LED digital watch, like the original digital watches from the 1970s, with the faceplate ripped off! Fossil has made several models over the last several years, and other companies have gotten in on the act. There's been a buttload of them released over the last decade or so as they've become popular again...

The lens/crystal on the watch often looks black, just like on LED digital clocks with the red numerals, but it's actually DARK RED TRANSLUCENT PLASTIC, which is exactly what we're seeing in the pics. Maybe a ladies version LED digital watch, faceplate removed, and shoved into the housing of a larger men's wrist watch?

On the one hand, it's an ingenious way to make the prop, as it makes it more believable as something Peter Parker made himself. It looks like it was cobbled together with whatever parts Peter had laying around. But on the other hand, it's a bit lazy, In My Opinion, as it still LOOKS like the innards of a digital wrist watch.

I had already looked at the 70s style LED watches. The problem is that the lugs are missing one side of the watch. Which suggests that it's probably a clip watch.

I haven't found any 70's style red LED clip watches at all.
So, they either removed the lugs from one side of a red LED watch, or they took a clip watch and added a red lens....Or it was completely custom made, which means we're wasting our time looking for found parts.

Yeah, I've looked at those too. The lens looked a little old-school LED-ish to me, but I couldn't find a thing with rocker arms or anything with a perfectly round center. Clip watch or otherwise.

The larger main watch has some very distinct features that I've not seen any any watch, new or old.

The lugs for the wristband curve outwards very noticeably, almost like devil horns.

The lugs on the top of the watch appear shorter than the bottom ones.

The protectors for the crown, or winding knob, curve with the watch, most curve outwards and away.

These webshooters look so much like a watch, that I hope that it part of the storyline.

In other words, in the movie-- I hope Peter Parker fashioned his webshooters from watch bodies and that he did not machine them out himself! :D

the smaller watch, I thought might be the removable piece from a silicone nurses fob watch, (they come as a dial or an LED display) with the top ground away to make room for the weird five button jobby.
