ive been a fan for many years of the rocketeere film

ive got most of the kit for a rocketeere costume helmet backpack etc etc
then a mate of mine said hay coll would be the nazi costume from the cartoon clip on the film

so here we go got some screen caps from the film
and ive made a stencil for the face plate and im vacforming a german ww2 helmet ( mold is a orginal ww2 helmet )

ill be macking my master faceplate mold from tinsheet ( with blind rivets and welding seams ) just like it could have been made

i will then be vacforming these

the back of the helmet will be closed with a piece of thick black leather

ill post more picks when i get the master faceplate done this week

Awesome idea !!! Every time I see that movie I ask myself if anyone´s ever gonna do the Nazi-Rocketeers, but quickly forget about it. It´s great that you are tackling that project !

Even though all the original actors are too old to play the characters again someone could do a stylized Animated movie with the Rocketeer fighting against Nazis, and the actors could do the voiceovers!

oh I don't know....Jennifer C' doesn't look too old to me lol

Very interesting and cool project mate. Good luck:)

Also can I suggest that you maybe avoid weld seams? If this was real I think it'd be 100% stamped metal, like the helmet itself. Rivets would be the way to go for joints. Good luck with it - excellent project!

I have see the movie, but i didn't understand the title well, for a moment, i thought that you going to make a Rocketeere with a Stahlhelm and not that you going to build a Nazi Rocketeere...

So far, you made awesome work!
Keep it up.

But hey! Don't stay only on the Helmet! Do the full costume!:cool

well that is the genaral idea
to do a full costume i have a few good ideas how to do the pack
only proplem is here in germany your not allowed to show any nazi signs any where
its a real downer
but typical german politics ( they are so tight arsed about it )

im still working on the helmet at the moment

Hmm, I don't remember seeing any nazi signs on their costume...But if you do on planning in including them. I am sure that you can flip the nazi sign around. It means peace in chinese or something like that.. Maybe some-one can correct on that..I know the symbol backyards means something else

on the weekend mate

ive got a mate doing me the decals for the helmet so thats all cleared

still touching the faceplate up

by the all what colours should we go for

matt black

or dark gray / light gray

any ideas

What an INCREDIBLE IDEA!!!!! Please, please, PLEASE tell me you're making this costume in black & white, as if you stepped right out of the 1930's propaganda film??? Dude, I can't wait to see this finished!!!!
