as far as the P1 armor, i think what ill do is just mix and match some pep files i have and modify them along the way.

thanks....i have a female stormtrooper armor that looks like it can be modified also....if you would like that  let me know and i will dig out the file and share   the chest is more like the P2 chest armor

i love the female armor you posted...did you find that here....i havent seen  that....meny thanks. now to get it to fit Anya... i proably use the same sizing as i did for the stormtrooper armor i did for her for last years sci/fi convention in Boston...she still fits that with no problem....to have her matablizem...lol

I sthill have to thank Movieman to make all the cool pepakura files, and take away my free time.
 
I made a few things lately and it looks out so:

 
The alien made from the same 2part modell as here shown a few times. The skin is from silicone, Movieman recommended.

 
I made a PC inside of it! Google translate can help, but there are a LOT of pictures. 
 
 
 
 
The predator skin is from silicone too and i try to make it separet from the armor, so I can make a few different Sets for it.

That silicone skin looks great. I may give that a try.  How's the weight of it--I was a little concerned that the silicone is pretty heavy.
 
I've assembled a portion of that pep file, and it's looking to me like it will be a bit too small.  I'm gonna rescale it and try again.

well i am working in silicone also....a psycho 1:1 prop i am doing...Mother...aka Mrs Bates....i can say....it depends on how thick you make it....but anywhere from 1/8" to a 1/4" should be fine. it does have some weight to it but its not as bad as you might think... i think it added 5 to 6 pounds (including everything else i added before the silicone) more to the weight of the resin skelaton  which was 40 pounds by its self

I'll give it a try. I am expecting one advantage it will have is to smooth over all the seams and facets that pepakura paper models have, without having to slather the whole thing in bondo and sand it forever.  I'll just make it as thin as I can so it won't weigh a ton.

going to sand the shiz out of it, prime it, and use it to sculpt my second Alien creature.


has anyone taken a swing at unfolding the CM models yet? just curious it would be nice to have a lurker to compliment this baby.

The head is 80cm long. The "oroginal" alien head was ~90cm long.
Befor the resign i could fit it on my head. After it i could not. After the resizing maybie you could use it as a mask.

The head has 5 layers resign, 2 fibergkas mat, 4-8 layers of thin silicone. The whole thing is 4 kilo.
I sthill want to make it shine more, but sthill looking for the right stuff.

Thanks.  I do plan on using it as a mask.

What I've decided to do is mix and match pieces from several different pep files, and also do some freehand stuff. I'll take the face and jaw from one file, add it to the ridged section from this file, and freeform the sides and back. That way I get a unique look.

I'll put up a pic when I get everything fitted the way I want.

what kind of silicone are you useing....the household stuff or the hobbie stuff....i ask because the general rule for silicone is you cant paint over it, you need to mix oil paint (or a gloss) with the silicone as its wet then let it set like that. so the only way it paint silicone it to paint silicone with colored silicone....i found that out with norma bates version 1.... it does look like you mixed in the paint when you coated it the first time....am i correct or did you just paint over it....with that said, you might have to live with the lack of shine as it is

My plan is to stiffen and paint everything first, then put a thin layer of clear silicone. I'm hoping it evens out all the seams, and also gives a glossy gooey drippy wet slimy look to it.

again are you useing the regular house hold stuff, because if you are and have a walmart near you get the clear slilicone thats the cheepest....i got great results with that and not so good results with the higher priced ones....if you want a pic of the stuff i am useing, i can post, its great stuff

(warning: bad spelling follows)

I tried out a few, but the best was this household silicone. I used a few colored (Black, brown, red, white) and a LOT transparent.
The "coloring" was tricky. I combined:
- the base (factory) colors  
- I ordered a Smooth-On Silc Pig  - Silicone Pigments
- I used (werry)hi quality oil paints (transparent + semi-transparent, this has only coloring pigments and only a little transfer subsracte)

Whit the "shine" and the wet look: 
The "transparent silicones turn "opalescent" and a little whiter. 
I experimented a lot and taken a few ideas from car polishers. whit the had the best resoult.

Whit very diluted and thin (transparent) silicone + coloring pigment (black + 1 blue + 1 gray + black agan) -> a LOT thin layers 
I had experimented On the NECK ->  16-20 layers -> The pigments are "floated" and semi transparent -> whit this mutch layers the scin has a little "depht" and even so it only 1-2 mm thick.

 will use the same technik on the rest of the head on summer.

Does anyone have any P2 armor files please. Want to build for next Comic Con. I cant fine any other than left shoulder and disk holder . I all ready have bio helmet built, just need the chest and back, gaunts, thighs, and cod, and shin pieces. Thanks in advance
