New pics fom Toy Fair! DS TOS Tricorder and WOK Comm!

I wonder if the medical tricorder will come with MEDICAL SCANNER or the SCIENCE SCANNER that is shown, or NO scanner?

It would certainly make sense from a MARKETING standpoint if the science and medical tricorders came with the two different scanners as it would likely motivate people to buy one of each, as opposed to the SCREENS being the only difference.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see this April.

That WOK comm is ugly, but seemingly accurate. If I do get this it will be when I grow tired of everything else and want something to throw around. :lol

The TOS tricorder seems correct in size in the photos where you see it next to the WOK phaser.

It looks like we're getting the Science tricorder with Engineering scanner, as the "standard" version of the tric... the Medical version with medical scanner is an Entertainment Earth exclusive. The Geological tricorder is a Toys R Us exclusive.

Minor nitpick: in the Toy Fair pix the Science tric has got a silver backplate behind the moire... that should be black, as it is in the Medical tricorder.

The WOK comm is fairly inexplicable :lol but I wonder if the license they've got only covers WOK, TMP and TOS. Those seem to be the only "eras" they've explored so far with toys. Well that and TNG... how come no "cobrahead" phaser or Mark 7 tricorder...

I never wanted one before because I couldn't see spending a fair amount of cash for such an ugly thing but for $30 with lights and sound (I'm assuming) I'll grab one.

Sadly the phaser is the leather wrapped TNG "Final Mission" version... the communicator is silver for some unknown reason.

That and the fact that they're under an inch long. :rolleyes

And a clarification on the tricorders... it looks like BOTH the Science and the Medical tricorders shown at Toy Fair, have the incorrect silver background behind the moire rings.

The Medical tric shown at NYCC last week was more correct.
