New Photo of Marvel's Thor, Odin, and Loki

When did Odin get an eyepatch?

Didn't Odin trade an eye for a drink from Mimir's Well of Knowledge? I guess an eyepatch would be the logical extension of that, as well as a cheap way to get out of having to CGI an empty socket. I do hope they don't forget Hugin and Munin, the two ravens given him in this trade that act as his eyes.

Of course, I'm more a fan of the Norse mythology than the actual comics. :)

Looks good,I may offend some with this but...........

I always thought Thor was goofy as horse dung,he looked like a damn 60's sufer dude and he swings around a hammer? gee,how cool :lol so any translation to a real film is going to be a big ? for me,at least Thor has a beard and looks like a friggin' Viking.

Now if it's even half-way decent I'll be shocked,if Captain America comes off ok then I'll be saying it's the end times! :lol (I remember both of these guys 80's films...that was BAD alright?)

Also I like comics but they are all so goofy any attempt at making them real is hard for me to get crazy, just make it half-arsed decent and that's good enough, manga and anime often can do better as it's closer to reg sci-fi then the kiddy fare American comics usually are...well except for stuff like Bleach and Naruto.

Now given DC's track record,I'd say there's a 50/50 chance Green Lantern is going to suck the genitals off a donkey,Thor looks alright,at least.

When I was a kid I read Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman, Thor...and Archie. My grade 8 teacher was right out of school and always borrowed my Thors as her crowd was really into it. [and I was into her]

So finally Thor makes it. C'mon Archie!!!

now its obvious you havent read any of those links i posted and are ill informed.

In fairness, it doesn't seem as though you read up on the wikipedia for The Bleed, either:

Bleed (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You keep pegging Captain Atom, but it was Mr. Majestic who came over first. And they also credit Warren and Hitch's Stormwatch #7 as the first appearance.

But I'm more curious as why you care so much; it's comics! It'll all be retconned and spun out and re-vamped in the next five-to-seven year cycle. Like Billy Connoly says: "We want this, and that! We demand a share in that, and most of that! Some of this, and ****ing all of that! Less of that, and more of this, and ****ing plenty of this. And another thing, we want it now, I want it yesterday, I want ****ing more tomorrow, and the demands will all be changed then, so ****ing stay awake!"

i tend to go with comicvine, because thats like the resource for comic books.
The Bleed (comic book location) - Comic Vine

while it may have been named in stormwatch, a DC/wildstorm joint, it was created by dc when the multiverse was created in justice league 21. its basically a "it goes with out saying" kind of thing because something has to be in the middle of the multiverses or they would just mix together. and we all saw what happened when that occured in crisis on the infinite earths. dont you think, since wildstorm was purchased by dc to make it fit in with dc, taking an old dc concept off the shelf to make the new wildstorm universe is a good idea?

i agree. its just comic books. but they're my thing. especially things pertaining to dc.

honestly, i dont care which of the two characters found it. im really only familiar with that period captain atom was floating around it, and mr.majestic replaced superman for a short time. thats it. the point im trying to get across is the sourcewall seperates ALL multiverses and the bleed seperates them from the source wall. he is most egregiously misinformed about the source wall and the multiverses, that has existed before wildstorm ever came out of liefeld and lee's talentless minds.

like kirby created the sourcewall, he didnt name it, the creative team on the teentitans/xmen comic did, dc created the bleed, but didnt name it until they purchased wildstorm and let storm watch vol 2 #7 happen.

I saw bits of The Superhero Movie on cable earlier and thought The Hourglass' (the villain of the movie) costume look very similar to that of the Asgardians:

Dude, I'm 46.

Looks good. The throne room even has the norse motifs on the floor and throne. Noticed Odins ravens. Very Kirbyish. Have high hopes for this. Have been waiting 30 years for this ever since I started reading Thor.

I'm not a huge follower of Thor, but based on the pics, it's looking really good. And I have the utmost respect for Kenneth Branagh as an actor and director, so I'm hoping he's taking his Shakespearian influence and injecting it into the film to give it some real depth.

Let's just hope Marvel doesn't interfere too much and make this just "another" comic book movie...

Funny how the 2010 posts were so derogatory and the actual movie was a bit of awesome from a costumer's pov. I am in love with Loki's wardrobe and can't wait to try my hand at this one.
