As a safety weight precaution always know or pre-weigh the mixing container. Too many times ive seen people just up and pour silicone into a container then add catalyst leaving out the weight of the container. It may not seem like much but when your talking 500 grams of silicone, in a 50 gram container thats ten percent. Do that with a plastic or casting rubber/foam and your done.
Can also write the container weight on the bottom or side.
With two part mold keys they can be added afterwards if need be. Its simple to cut channels or use a sharpened hollow pipe to cut in. Ive taken a liking to stupid crafts half spheres from Michaels. They come in sizes small enough to get into tight areas which helps lock in sections that may otherwise "slip" and cause an uneven seam.
