New member saying hello- Knight rider related props

Hey everyone,

My name is Joey and I'm from Toronto, Canada. I've been frequenting this site for a while now and decided to join in all the fun:).

I'm a long time Knight Rider fan and have spent the majority of my life researching the tv series, and spent the last 8 years collecting fan made props and building my own 3rd/4th full size Kitt replica. I've also made several props myself.

Here's a link to my car domain page that catalogs the entire build of my car:

I'm actively involved in many KR forums, but my other passions include BTTF, and anything comic book related, primarily Superman.

Just wanted to show everyone my car and some of my props. Hope to be a member for a long time and contribute in any way I can. Thanks everyone.

Enjoy.

Wow. Nice entrance. :) {Your KITT looks great. :D I've always been reluctant to/have lacked the interest to work on a car...but the more I see of stuff like that, the less reluctance I have.}

Thanks so much for the kind words guys.

Hiya Brian!!!!!

lol, you know what, I haven't been pulled over in it once yet, lets hope it doesn't happen lol.

Thanks again everyone.

Joey.

I freaking LOVE the watch! Did you make that yourself? And speaking of Super Pursuit mode, has anyone that you know of actually made a KITT with working Super Pursuit mode pieces?

No, the watch was made by a fan on one of many knight rider forums, goes by Kitt1. You can find them on ebay usually. I needed a comlink, how else was I suppose to communicate with my car:lol???

Up to those watches being reproduced, you would have had to track down an original watch and pay high prices, then make your own watch overlay. I had seen some going for $400 years ago.

I know there were a couple guys in France building the SPM version with the moving parts, but I don't know what ended up happening to that.

Here's a youtube link to one:
déploiment pare choc k2000 - YouTube

Jay Ohrberg has built a static SPM version:
Jay Ohrberg's Knight Rider SPM - YouTube

Several people have incorporated SPM bits on their cars. I've always loved that version, because it was mechanical, not a digital version.

Thanks guys,

Joey.
