New Martian war machine model (1953 version)

Tom,

That collection is unreal! Wish I could offer to buy some of your items but due to lack of work, alimony and child support I'm BROKE. What you have I could only dream of but with what I have and want to do is have a dedicated room to view movies and display my goods. Need to get a house first lost that also........LOL she left all my props atleast the ones she didn't bust up!

I ordered my kit but can't afford the light kit for awhile, hope I can keep from building the kit until I get the money saved up! This will be a big test!

So who's gonna get one installed in their MWM and tell us how complicated/easy it is? I'm not very good when it come to soldering..:eek

I ordered it so we shall see.

I cannot imagine it being more complicated than basic soldering.

My main concern is getting the green clear parts to appear uniformly lit.
That might take some thinking on.

Check with DLM. He might have something similar that can be modded to use in the MWW for a LOT less money. Perhaps using his Klingon BoP engine lighting with green LEDs?

I received my built War Machine on the 7th and it was loose in the box. The restraints were loose so it came out. I called them up and told them what had happened and they were sending me a replacement. Should be here today or tomorrow.
It is a fantastic looking model. You can't really tell from the pictures that have been posted but it is chrome copper. In the pics it looked just chromed so imagine my delight when it arrived!

This is as far as I have made it on the death ray.

I used a lighthouse circuit to power two white LEDs placed behind a piece of clear amber plastic to give a more orange color.
It does not look as good as the VooDooFx kit but it will serve is purpose.

Ity may not be as fancy as the voodoo one, but it certainly looks just as nice. Fantastic idea! I know what I'm buying for mine. :)

I'm a bit late coming to this thread but did anyone ever make the walker version from 'dust to dust'? That was an awesome design!

I came across both kits a couple of weeks ago that were never finished. I have been hoping to finish both over the next couple of months. Three years is too long to finish a project. Truth is I got kind of burnt out on props and models and took a much needed break. I need to pop in the “Dust to Dust” episode and get better caps.
