New Hot Toys Releases

@ Scareb: Sure, Raynor does make much more sense. He'll be up for pre-order next thursday: Raynor Sixth Scale Figure Preview | Sideshow Collectibles

Still not owning any Hot Toys figures yet, but I'm very much looking forward to what they do with the BTTF license. Anyone know if that license includes rights for a 1/6th scale DeLorean? After the huge Batman related vehicles, the size sure wouldn't be a problem.

And like a few others here I hope that in a couple of years (maybe after releasing all 120+ suits from Iron Man 4 :facepalm) HT will revisit their Aliens lineup. Would love to see the marines in a 2.0 version with actual likeness. And while their power loader (unlike Ripley) was perfect, I still hope for a rerelease since I was too dumb to get one at a reasonable price while I had the chance and that still gives me a headache...

Something I pretty much abandoned hope of ever seeing from HT would be an Avatar AMP. The one from Sideshow was just way too expensive and a cheaper one that was poseable would have been perfect. But although that movie made billions, the license generally seems to be treated very poorly.

I ordered Raynor... and he comes out in a year, that'll be quite the wait.

For something with that level of quality, the price seemed worth it to me.

The 1989 Batmobile just arrived two days ago. Still trying to find the time to play with it. I finally opened it last night. Pretty awesome, though the shield cocoon was a bit underwhelming- reminded me of a large version of the Toy Biz shell. And it seems to be covered in a clear peel-able layer (I hope) that got pretty scuffed and torn from the foam box inserts.

The car itself is massive, and I can't wait to get it all unlocked from the box frame when I finally build my cabinet for the four of them.

The house is full of baby shower gifts, and I have much too much to do, building the baby room, so I didn't get much further than this. The interior lights looked amazing, and it had a "new car" smell.lol Right now, though, she's all packed up again with her Tumbler sister. The Camo one should be here in about 3 weeks, customs permitting.

The 1989 Batmobile

Robin: "Holy Headlights Batman! What's that in the road?"
Batman: "It appears to be an enormous 3 legged cat Robin."
Robin: "What do you call a 3 legged cat, Batman, and where does it sit?"
Batman: Nothing Robin. It won't come when you call, and it sits anywhere it wants to."

*****, that's beautiful.

It's the size of a couch but, nonetheless, gorgeous. This and Barrismobile will always be my Batmobiles.

Hell yeah. 40" long!

Furstmobile...Barrismobile....two best live action. If they ever do comics cars- Breyfogle, I'm screwed.lol

But if they stick with live action, the Lingmobiles could be next? Forever and B&R. I do love those designs, just not the backlighting. Or the movies.lol

Honestly, the 1966 has me scared- both a possibly higher price and the demand. I'm really bracing for that. Getting anxiety just thinking about it......

If I had the space for any of the batmobiles, they'd be bought in a heartbeat. I saw a new tumbler go on ebay for $375 shipped! Just preordered Silver Centurion myself but sad I have to wait a year to get it.

Nice! I got the black one when they first came out (07?) from Hong Kong $389 shipped!

This was the only one that hurt- $650 shipped. But I had a year and a half to cough up the remaining $490.

If I won the lottery, I'd have all the Iron Man..s. My two favorite superheroes since forever- Batman and Iron Man. The car....and the armor. I've always collected batmobiles, but used to also collect the IM figures. But nobody has ever really done them justice- they always felt like ...well...FIGURES. These are more armor. But too expensive to collect obsessively. Oh well.

As far as display room- I plan on building a vertical cabinet so they'll each be on their own shelf. Only way I really can:\

Yeah, basically look at what Hot Toys estimated release date is and then rack on 3 or 4 months.

I have has the Battle Damaged T800 from T2 on preorder for a while and it was supposed to ship in June but then it got pushed to July and now all the sites say its supposed to ship in August but it still hasn't been released in Japan yet and it usually takes a full month before North America starts to see shipments. I probably won't be getting this figure until mid-September now unless it gets pushed back again.

Yeah. The 1989 Batmobile was supposed to be March I think? Pushed to June.....then July.....Just got it last week.lol

My god, their sculpts are truly amazing!

Their sculpts ARE amazing, but credit where credit is due, I think it's really their painting techniques. The best sculpt in the world can't save a bad face paint job. I ruined a $200 Pamela Anderson model kit (That I customized to a Trooper Babe) because of my horrible eyes.lol Their eyes just blow me away.

Not to mention skin tone.....lips. All the things I'm bad at. Scary, how they nail it.

I have mixed feelings about that. Sometimes they're wonderful, sometimes they're a bit spotty. I only have one Hot Toys figure and it's the Jack Joker and I love the hell out of it. Despite the fact that almost everything about it is either idealized or wrong. However, with enough skill and equipment, these things can be fixed.

Take a look at this beauty I found a few years ago. Their Indy wasn't met with all that much praise but if they were all done like this thing, you betcha bottom dollar I'd be plenty broke right now.
