I like how they included the screws in the grip. That’s the kind of detail that often get left off on mass produced hilts like this.

They are including the kyber crystal like they did with Ahsoka’s hilt. For those not aware, these are not something that you leave inside the hilt. When the blade is removed, you shove the cryst chamber into the hilt and the chamber charges up for a short amount of time, you pull it out and the crystal glows. IMHO, a very lame accessory. However since not including it would most likely not effect the MSRP, I guess it‘s nice to has something than not.

That might just be one of the best-looking Hasbro sabers I've seen.

Somehow it seems these are already available? I “preordered” this on Hasbro Pulse, they took the payment immediately, and this morning I got an Email saying that it has been shipped out… So color me confused…

Let us know if you get tracking info. Most sites are saying November. But who knows, maybe Hasbro does have some ready to ship or just a possible glitch.

Yeah, I got a tracking number. I’m kind of expecting this to be some kind of mixup and it’s not actually shipping, but who knows? I did get an alert that the Obi-Wan series Vintage Collection figures I ordered from Pulse are also shipping out, so does that mean that Hasbro is actually shipping things out in a timely manner? What crazy world is this?

The one thing I did notice was the lack of an ETA date for the Vader lightsaber at the Hasbro site, so maybe it means it is in stock.
 
I received a replacement Black Series Leia saber after my first one arrived damaged.

It still has the same issue where the LEDs turn off after the blaster deflect. I've seen two more reviews also mention this. Hasbro needs to cease production on this saber and rework the electronics.

 
The wall cutting effect on Leia is also greatly diminished. Here is a comparison with the Ashoka on the left. My other Elite sabers are more like Ahsoka as well.

 
So reading the negative ratings about Mandalorian dark saber. which could be another option to buy? Keeping in mind not to pay 1000 $ for it... :rolleyes:

being a massive dark saber fan. I have yet to be satisfied with anything out there..

My biggest issue is everyone doing a run is having then powder coated and I’m not happy with any of the finish..

I wish they would do the sabers in raw form and let us paint them ourselves…

I´m agree with that. Regarding price, the FX is the best option ( I don´t know others ) but the wobble blade take´s the money in my pocket. So I´m looking for another "not expensive" options

Unfortunately I don’t know of a cheaper alternative then the black series or Disney parks

Very nice. Saw a video on Facebook today. Someone else got theirs and was comparing them to the Disney variant.

Interested to know what you think.
 
I have the old Master Replicas version. Would be curious to see how this one compares. Clearly, the sound effects have gotten better over the years (or at least, more varied).
 
I don’t know how it compares to other Vader sabers, but it looks pretty great to me. I don’t know if all of the details are completely accurate or not, but it certainly has a lot of detail. The battle sequence is kind of meh, it’s interesting but doesn’t seem all that useful. The sequence does look cool if nothing else.

One thing that bugs me is that when the wall cutting effect is activated, the blade gets noticeably darker. You can actually see it like a shadow washing down the blade from tip to hilt. Not sure why it does that. I noticed that the Leia saber does the same thing. I can’t remember if any of the previous sabers do it or not.

That, and I wish that Hasbro would have put some kind of recessed holder or clamp or something on the saber stand so that you could put the blade tool and kyber crystal on it. It would be a real pain if the tool ever got lost.

Something I really liked— and though it’s a small and silly touch, I really appreciate it— is that at the bottom of the blade it says “DARTH VADER” in printed white text… So if you store the blade without the box, you don’t have to wonder which saber the blade goes to. I wish all of the saber blades were marked like that!
