Apparently you put your first initial in aurebesh on itDo we know how it is “personal”? Customizable or inscribed maybe?
Notice they put the center section upside down of the one on display. It is correct on the one in the box.Not the FX versions but this could be an early indication of the saber they're using for the Disney + series.

Yea the people that work these morning shows can't follow simple directions.Notice they put the center section upside down of the one on display. It is correct on the one in the box.
If you look closely, they're part of the "Lightsaber Forge" series of toys, most of which are wildly inaccurate, if they have any details from the character's sabers at all. So I wouldn't say that's an indication what Obi Wan or Vader will wield other than "a" lightsaber. Not the FX versions but this could be an early indication of the saber they're using for the Disney + series.

Could be simply part of the Forge line of toy sabers. But Obi-Wan's collar area matches the poster exactly and this would be about the time when toy releases/leaks would start happening for the new series. If you look closely, they're part of the "Lightsaber Forge" series of toys, most of which are wildly inaccurate, if they have any details from the character's sabers at all. I don’t think anyone was saying this is going to be an exact replica of the show. We know this is the toy for kids and that proportion are always questionable. But the idea here is that they may have modeled this particular version from the one from the show, and if so, it does give us an insight to design attributes such as they look to be using a covertec knob and circuit board activation plate similar to the Revenge of the Sith design. However the black area at the emitter may indicate they are going to weather it closer to the A New Hope look. I'm down for a weathered ROTS version. Maybe even an event where the Covertec clip gets damaged and he has to just attach the junk lying around like the D-ring.I don’t think anyone was saying this is going to be an exact replica of the show. Do we know what the Rogue One saber looked like? I haven’t managed to find and references…Disappointing if Vader's saber is ESB style like that toy. They have the Rogue One saber, just use that!
Interesting. Did we get that info from crew people? It was a modified ESB style based on the hero ESB current condition.
Sure a chunky boy.... Not a very good lightsaber to adapt for the Lightsaber Forge line. Not the FX versions but this could be an early indication of the saber they're using for the Disney + series.
