NEW ESB Y O D A... (New pics on reveal Thread) !!!!!!

Hi Guys,

After months of contempating over the accuracy of my own earlier Yoda sculpt I decide now was the time to start work on a Newer version that would correct the faults only I seemed to be noticing :lol :eek Anyway, as a sort of experiment to see if those faults were indeed not just a trick of the light or camera angles I decide to take the plunge and have a go - and boy was I surprised what needed doing to get an inproved likeness.

So I started properly on this, last weekend and here I can reveal the results so far (early days). The modelling has got a lot more conformity and style of sculpting, to the original. The structure and shape of the eyelids and the bulges ,above them, are a lot bolder!





He needs a lot of refining yet but the basic shape is more or less there.

he looks a bit meaner this time phil, looking pretty good.

is it a new sculpt or a re-doing of the earlier version?

Its a completely new sculpt using a different medium.. Chavant instead of Water based clay.

Now that I finally made the step to paint your last Yoda, that I had lying in parts since the day I received it, you come up with this :rolleyes

You know I have to get this as well...making me the prowd owner of all your Yoda incarnations. The cking, the -last- cyberman and after you convinced me with comparsion shots of your WIP, the new sculpt

Very very nice sculpt Phil .. I might have to get me one Yoda at some point .. could that be it? The only one I've ever liked was Gino's .. (was it yours?) ..

That looks absolutely incredible. If you had told me that this was the Stuart Freeborn sculpt even in its current state, I would have believed you!

Yeah, sometimes redoing something is the only way to nail what you might have changed the first time .

Wow, you certainly have a way with clay Phil that is fantastic, I think I'm going to have to get one of these new Yoda heads from you!

... just don't keep updating him too much, I can't afford to keep up with you! :lol
