I've said this elsewhere, but I will repeat myself. She looks like a cross between Selina Gomez and Christina Ricci. She just doesn't look British enough.
My ideal would have been to use, not only the character, but the actress, the girl from episode 2 of Dirk Gently. She was fantastic and, since the original Dirk Gently story was actually a converted Doctor WHO story, it would bring things full circle.

Maybe she picks her up from some other country? While he usually does manage to land in England, he has gone to France, the US, and a number of other countries. I agree she does have a strong Gomez feel to her too.
And yeah, I'd hit that.

She is smokin :lol. Now hopefully the doctor does not also pick up her husband and start dating there future daughter. Unless of course the father is Jake Harkness and as a result the Doctors other women is some kind of immortal that then needs to battle it out with River for the doctors affection (in jello of course). :confused

Was she just in some Nickelodeon movie? The lack of a tan, "no male-up" and hair color change do make her look younger.

That one was particularly on the bad side....you now have that damn song trying to get into my head.
Too bad we've gotta wait a long time for the season to start - like 8 freaking months or more. If they've got this much done, why the holdup?

As for how they'll play with wild west conventions, I'm gonna hazard a guess that someone will be gay, since that seems to be the fashionable thing to do on Doctor Who these days. "Look! A gay character! Oooooh...edgy!"
