New Custom Original Puppet !

Well here's an example of one of our custom orignal characters built for a client of ours in Spain; he has a few more being built right now which will be a mother, daughter and pet dog Pedo to go along with him; These will be used to acompany the rest of his traveling puppet troupe's already established characters.

Thanks! It generally takes up to a week sometimes over depending on the type of character it is that is being created.

Out of curiosity, how much do you normally charge for custom puppets? Would the removal of the "hole up the back" (and basically the whole ability to 'talk') make it cheaper? I know that would in essence make it a doll but I'd like to think of it as a "display puppet" :lol

Well thanks for your support and compliments!
The prices vary quite a bit and depends on the type of puppet you would like built; also if it's a full-body or half-body puppet.
Making it a poser puppet wouldn't necessarily make it cost less; if anything it would be more since it is more in labor time and materials to have to rig the wire armature into the puppet itself.
These puppets are built for a professional or semi-professional performer but also for the serious collector. Just like seeing an old vinatage Charlie McCarthy at the Smithsonian on display in a case, so can these. As a matter of fact 80% of my clients want these just for display, so these custom puppets can go either way. They sit up pretty well on their own.

Thanks man; As I said it really depends; a Piggy can take clost to two weeks, lots of times it waiting for things to cure with her or dry like the flocking.

I just thought it would be cool to see one where you could change the facial features and such to create another character. I'm not sure which one I would want or if I would want a custom one that wasn't just a replica of one seen before. Of course I just think it would be cool to see it done even if I never had one. Not to mention that AMs are a big part of Muppet history. Heck The Count was originally an AM. Not to mention a few others, but The Count would probably be considered a bigger name than them and I see that you've already done The Count.

I see that you do the rod puppets, but do you do the live hand variants as well?
