New BMF coming

Thank you guys!!!

Definitively is a production batch number... No fun...

:lol
Tony..On shapeways...there are 2 sets of the Louver arms?

IN: 0.375 w x 1.349 d x 0.947 h
IN: 0.309 w x 1.469 d x 0.946 h

so...are we saying the ones on the hasbro model are too short? And so you got one thats a swap and one that would take more work to extend the flaps? (Also the details seem to be a tad different)

Hi Tron.

The two sets of arms are different. One set is a copy of the ones seen on the 5" Falcon, and the new set is inspired on the 32" Falcon -accurate for the Hasbro-. The length is the same, about 23 mm.

Jaitea is changing all the engine louvers and making bigger flaps, so he will need longer arms -but not mines, that have the standard Hasbro length-. Not everybody will do the big work that's doing Jaitea, so if someone just simply want to cut the wrong arms of the Hasbro and put the correct ones, with my arms it will suffit.

Ok cool :) was thinking the next time I hit shapeways that I'd go for those things too..wasn't sure of the difference. The new ones (32'inch) seem to have details I prefer :) So that's perfect... Still got a few parts Im waiting on from shapeways ;) New improved Cone(long) and radar supports!I think they said JAN 15...taking a lot longer for them to make stuff for some reason.

Something tells me that in 3 years time I will have 10 new falcons of various sizes from various companies... :) and i'm ok with that!

Hi there :)
haven't been posting so much for one reason and another but... here is some progress.

If you cut in horizontally into the radar mount then it leaves enough panel to reach the new cylinder which is a piece of pvc pipe. works well.

jawbox23web.jpg
Same here, cut sideways into the jawbox and it leaves more panel length, some of which i cut into llittle tabs to go back into the side of the jawbox, just a little higher than they were at the top/back. Worked ok but remember to reduce the fixing column inside the same amount. This will need a bit of attention once its all finally back together and glued.

back375web.jpg
The bottom half is screwed to the frame now which means it can stay on the stand which makes it a lot easier to get around. The top half just sits on in place quite happily.
Cutting the rear deck away like the real 32" seemed like a good way to get to the guts after the rest of this wobbly thing is finally screwed to the frame. Nice.

Great job Spacebob!!!

You're redoing everything like Jaitea!

On the radar pic I can see at the back the Maximilian robot from "The Black Hole"...

10 Falcons!!!!!!

More work to come!!! :cool :D

Thanks FZ6
The difference is Jaitea really knows what he's doing, I'm not going so mad :)
I'm not doing very much to the underside either. Just cheating.
Glad you like Maximillian.

More work for Mike Salzo...

MILLENNIUM FALCON HSBRO JAWBOX RENDER.jpg

Jawbox complete! 3 separate parts. Inspired on the 32" and MR Falcon.

This part is expensive in 3D print. Ideal to be casted in cheap resin.

Tony,

Could you make all the long cone components (including the back wall) as a single set? I'm looking forward to seeing the jawbox on Shapeways too.

OBTW, the gun yokes I got are a bit too wide for the guns and makes them very loose and floppy.

Are all the boarding ramp components on the drawing board? And maybe some of the details in the surface depressions?

I'm not cutting anything on my third Falcon until all the pieces are in hand: including rectangular dish and mounts and the vent grills and details from johnnycrash.

If anyone is wondering,

I emailed Walmart about the pricing thing when they were $30 and got all 3 for $30 each so noooooooo complaints from me.

Hi.

I'll made a set for you with the cabin cone long, the cockpit and the backwall, everything on the same product. I will let you know.

About the yokes, good to know. I will check it.

Yes, the boarding ramp is on the "to do" list too. About the pits, nothing planned by now.

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback!

How expensive? :) I went and looked for it..don't see it up yet :)

I want to check if it fits properly prior to going on sale... It has to be, but... :cool

Tony while we are making requests how hard would it be to make a Tie Fighter Window for the newer more accurate Large Wing Tie Fighters, Tie Interceptors, etc?? Actually I think the windows are all the same now that I think about it.

Anyway the newer Ties are so close to model quality that just replacing the Window with a Studio Scale Windowless Frame and New Paint job makes a huge difference. Cutting out the windows it not easy.

Do you think you could swing it?????

Oooohhhh, noooooo...please don't get him started! I've got two of those waiting for some love, and I'm a dead man if I start buying parts for more projects.

Yes, I would design it. The key is to have accurate measurements and good information about the window. If you have this info, it's possible. Just let me know! PM me the info, just to not post it here, in the middle of the Hasbro Falcon stuff.

samster27 had recommended some great glue suggestions on his thread and while I was researching them I found this range of superglues and primer products on ebay called
"Mister Sticky"
They have CA glues with rubber in them so there is a bit more give and primers similar but a bit cheaper than the loctite 770.
Sounds very promising :) check it out.
