Sorry if this is covered somewhere but I am confused. The kit map calls out the surrounding item at the rear of the ship as 8 rad , I have this kit but cannot identify which pieces they are , has anyone an idea ?
No 5 in the map picture , been staring at the sprues for some time unable to identify the 8 rad pieces surrounding the verticals , is it only the surround that is 8 rad component or is it also the pipe work/ landing gear items surrounding it ?
I have decided that I will try and detail mine (first one anyway) as the larger falcon for the moment as it cuts down on scratch building some hull details and I prefer the docking ring details of the larger ship. Also I cannot access the smaller kit map images at the moment. Hoping to have some more done by the weekend worth posting

Yes, I would design it. The key is to have accurate measurements and good information about the window. If you have this info, it's possible. Just let me know! PM me the info, just to not post it here, in the middle of the Hasbro Falcon stuff.

Mine are currently packed and I have no idea where in the horror that is my garage.

Can anyone help us out here??

(for Vacuformed Hero): Looking at sprue images for that kit, it appears to be the cut-off end of the chassis frame (the end with the holes in the cross member...) plus some other bits (like the vertical stub of tubing...), as as the one seen here.

Well, here's where I am so far with the paintjob: I highlighted the panel lines with flat black and misted the light gray overall untill the lines gradually faded away. Although the lines are still a bit too obvious, a final misting of overall flat whight will fade them some more and lighten the gray to the almost white shade I'm looking for. Still a long way to go!

I've got a pair of the Hasbro Target exclusive TIEs, what measurements do you guys need? IIf no one else has some nice precise calibers, I'll do my best.

I think you'll find it will be this piece cut down from the Tamiya 1/35 SdKfz 232 "8 Rad"

thanks junk pilot and rbeach84 it looks like the model of an 8rad is very different at 1/76 see the sprues from my hasegawa Sd.Kfz.234/3 8-RAD 1:72
i think I may have to assemble it partially before carving it up..

Yep, that is the part I was looking at... but on the sprue shots I found online, the frame was separate from the lower body, so it was much easier to see. Looks to be something very easy to fabricate from a bit of sheet plastic (cut a couple of rails, then drill holes in some sheet for the cross-member.)

I've designed another goodie for the Hasbro...

MILLENNIUM FALCON HSBRO GREEBLE BOX RENDER.jpg

This time Samster27 suggested me this one. And here you are!

And he has suggested me another upgrade. I will try to start it soon.

Don't tell it to your wives, please... :p

Wow, and your killing me.

Will these be in the resin sets?????

Yes, why not?. But the boxes have two parts on the sides that are very thin, with wires, that maybe can't be casted this way.
Let's see how it looks for Mike. :cool

Has anybody noticed that if you REALLY want to have it be more accurate... ALL the details on the Falcon have to be redone?
(Ex. see pic...) I guess that's the best way to mold it so parts release easier. So like TronGod said... "there is no end to the updates"...

If you keep looking..there is no end to the updates that are possible :)

Cool. I am hoping to get two sets of everything for both my falcons. So if I destroy one I have a spare. Then after one is all done I can just sell the second set or build it to, etc. So I need as much in resin as I can.

The good thing tho is... you can go nuts...but stop at any time and go..the rest of this is fine... For example, the underside :)
Still waiting on my Radar support and updated cabin from shapeways..they are really slow! :)

Ughh..I've been thinking about this...Now I really want to fix this...
I am going to try and consider this when reassembly begins, that any are that I know I had to compromise on can be accessed in future when either my scratch building , mouldings or wallet improves that I can justify it.
for myself I go,t into this hasbro build because of the scale versus cost , the more I purchase model kits to accurize it, and other materials the costs start climbing (in my case some of this was restocking model making tools etc, but the deeper into this I go ......I am thinking that the second hasbro may be left as is , just a paint job , and the next falcon scratch
built with the skills I am learning .......
