New BMF coming

Ah, I had assumed the cone was not being done either actually. Oh, and just if anyone was curious, it looks like the Puzz3D Falcon will not yield any of the decals after all. Looking at it actually, I have a feeling they may have done a photo survey of the 5 footer, and then rotoscoped over that to get a clean version for the puzzle; it has a very...painterly look to it on close inspection, and all of the complex decals are either missing or have been simplified to red or yellow hash-marks.

I guess I got a first run then, I am looking at the Champion sticker on the back left panel and the only one that is obscured is the High 1 sign on teh cockpit (they changed it to kind of a triple yin-yang sign which is weird). I also see a caution sticker, a keep clear stick in the side guts and a couple of others that look like decals from racing car models that I can't quite make out.

I was talking about the in-atmosphere bit:facepalm:D

Aye, I follow; the aerospike idea (in my reimagined MF concept) is that 1) it is an 'emergency' mechanism - as in redundant - in case of power failure & 2) a lower power alternative to full deflector shield re-entry & 3) a smuggler's 'trick' that could disguise the ship as a meteor. Also, I was considering that not *all* ships would be 'surface landers'. For example, I'm pretty sure the size of a star destroyer would make a surface landing "impractical".

Regards, Robert

Well that's...bizzarre. No, I went over mine pretty carefully to see if there was anything useable on it - I thought I might be actually able to contribute something to the cause by throwing together a file to share. Just for curiosity sake, the pieces showing the gang in the cockpit - on yours, is it a photo or a painting? Mine has a PHOTO on the front, and PAINTINGS of them on the side windows.

Thanks, guys - yeah, it's (imagine the panel near the radar mount with the 6 or so big black circular blast marks - the panel overhanging the sidewall BELOW that one)...significantly longer - the panel aft of it being broken off makes sense in that context. Plus, in your pics, Junk Pilot, it's clearly bent rather badly, and you're right, just at the poitnt it probably hits the sidewall - looks like it snapped off between whenever your pics are from and when ones at the OneDrive archive were taken.
Oh, and Vacformedhero, not too badly. You can't get the whole ship in any one pano, but you can put together a fair number of the images to get a better sens of the overall model. I'm still working on it, so haven't been through all of the views yet. I'm finding that Microsoft Ice works better than Photoshop's photomerge for this for some reason.

Very cool , as I am getting frustrated flicking between shots, one big photo to slide around ......mmmmm

Hi guys!

Some of you asked me about doing the engine louver arms for the Hasbro, the ones replica of the 32" Falcon arms. So here it goes! Already at Shapeways.

They're 23 mm long, more or less.

I've seen Jaitea chopping the bad ones of the Hasbro, so... :D:cool

Forgive my ignorance, but where do these go on the model?

They'd need to go on these flaps....(just set on at the minute)......but I'd need them to be about 30mm......but I'm gonna just use rod and the original ends:

Mike is working on it! We're just on the second step... We must be patients.
Thanks for your interest!

Just for fun guys.

Did you realize that each Hasbro Falcon has is own serial? Or maybe I'm wrong? Mine is 42461. Could you check your Hasbro just to see if I'm wrong?

Tony, where is this located, inside or outside? Mine is at home in the box. Good Lord, I hope this doesn't start a mass search for low numbers!!!

Oooh, I know what would be fun, everyone check their numbers, whoever has the lowest number gets a free resin upgrade kit. Or, or, whoever has the best poker hand wins a prize!!! :lol

Robert.

It's on the lower part, left side, near the engine.

Fun!!! Let's see who has the lowest number!
