New BMF coming

Falcon Set.JPG

Bob Iger was photographed in New York, the Full size falcon was photographed in the London Studios. ILM comped the two together.

This is the CG falcon ILM rendered for the Cover

I'm pretty certain that's a full set piece. The comp work was adding Bob to the pic.

Am I missing something? Ive taken all the screws out of the Falcon but it wont split at the sides? The plastic is bending and dicolouring so I dont want to force it.

Any help would be appreciated as Im obviously missing something stupid.

Did you pop the side pods and cockpit off?

I don't care if there is a good chance the door might fall on me, if I was there, the temptation to run up that ramp would be strong.

Posted this in my own thread, but this could be useful......Just picked up 2 copies of issue one of the DeAgostini Build your own Millennium Falcon

It has parts that could be useful

I bought 2 copies to get 2 Quad guns

Other parts are obviously scaled too much as the DeAgostini Falcon builds up to 32"

The cockpit back wall,....although waaaayyyy to big could be cut down to fit??

£2.99 for the first issue,.....too good an opportunity not to buy,....even for the magazine

Woah... watched the vid for that magazine, looks fun.

When I couldn't figure how to subscribe from Canada I was relieved... 100 issues to finish? looks like an 1800 dollar falcon all done.

I'll stick with the BMF.

Yeah, that's what the caption said, ILM comped Iger into the photo of the the Falcon on stage.

Maybe the backdrop is there as they are shooting in the cockpit? Even though they have a backdrop, it doesn't mean it can't be replaced later by CG..

How about doing everyone on this thread a huge favor and do a Hi Rez scene of that back wall and upload it or email it to all who want one. We can reduce it print it out on decal paper.

This magazine falcon reminded me of the EFX falcon that EFX kinda gave up on :) Tho it's hard to tell with EFX..they work on stuff for years before it really comes out...I think they haven't updated their web site in like 5 years or something like that too.. (Aside from the return of the jedi- scout trooper stuff)

Ehh... that would be nice, but wouldn't that be a form of recasting?

From what I understand they will be available in the USA first part of 2015!

Hmmm... it must be a weekly thing? Would I do this?! When you think of the overall price, it's crazy, but stretched over 2 or so years?

Guess it depends on cover price when it comes out.
