New BMF coming

Hi I'm new here, but have been lurking for a while. I have read all 110 pages of this thread and I want to thank you all inspiring me to buy one of this MF to work on. The MF has always been one of my favorite characters in Star Wars. I will hopefully start working on it soon.

That's exactly what I intend to do! makes more sense that way... althou you do gotta notch them cause my stickers weren't notched, were yours?
I think it's a good idea in theory, but I found the stickers are slightly under sized. I had to make them a little bigger.

Hi guys there is TOW kits left. DSC00261.JPG

Hey,....if you can grab this for your Falcons,....the latest issue of the DeAgostni BYMF (issue 19)

Here are a couple of pictures of the first detail bay for the front underside of the Falcon you can look forward to. Looks pretty good to me, but I am no expert on the 32" model. This also requires painting which I will do later on in the build.

As you can see, the plating is pretty patchy with regards to the colour, so you will have to either weather the whole thing close to the darkest shades you have or, like I will do, repaint the whole thing.

I picked this one up today.....very useful for replacing the moulded underside bay

Hi Guys

I am at a Workshop with my team from Work since Monday and I am sitting down in the Hotel waiting for the guys to come down for Breakfast...BOORING, so I thought I post some pics I took on the weekend.

Again its not 100% done but maybe 95% or so. Still to do, Paint the litte = markings on all the Panels, Correcting the graphics on the Radar Dish, Adding some rust to the Exaustports (mesh) and maybe paint or apply decals overall for graphics (labels red markings on the airlocks etc.

Its hooked up with four 9V batteries hidden under the polycarb plate and four on/off switches on the back cover of the base, these controls, Engine, Front lights, Underside Flood/Position lights and Cockpit. Did not have any good pics with the lights on but will post later.

WOW - I Like :thumbsup You did a really great paintjob - looks like the Master Replicas Falcon

Can you tell me the dimensions of the base (looks also great !) ?

Amazing, professionally made! the base looks awesome.

Are those Letter decals - laser cut stickers?

The paint job is splendid as well!!! Very similar to the original.

So heres where I'm at so far. started off by notching the outer edge removing and replacing some of the obvios pipe work and then moved onto panles. I used the stickers as templates which worked out pretty well some adjusting for panel gaps, multiple sections and some that still need to be blended in to fill seams. Attched everything using loctite plastic bonding system. Did a small amout of detailing on the rear deck but not sure how far I want to take it butme of the work here those open bays are nagging at me and so is the engine deck.

So till I decide I hit the top half with Dupli-color adheasion promoter and scratch fill primer. This thing looks better and better all the time.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Haven't done any serious modeling in a while.I used 1/16 plastic coated wire and an exato chisel blade followed by steel file and sanding sponge for a smooth surfac. Luckily this ship cuts like butter but does leave some fraying behind.

brilliant progress , it's like a classic car restoration I'll only change this ......2 years later everything has been done....
Im in the same boat initially I thought the rear deck detail was good enough, now after I have started detailing the pits I am not happy with the rear deck, and other areas, I must update my thread haven't been on it in a while ......I'm trying to concentrate on finishing the iconic details .....I'll never get to paint at this rate ,
keep up the good work

May I ask how much are these falcons going for?
Being international, my only recourse is ebay. I saw someone who is willing to ship for $570! Of course there are others cheaper, but dang.......
