New Batman: Arkham game due this year?

He never calls it by name so it could be the 3rd game and not Origins in which case i'll buy that one but not origins.

It would seem pretty far fetched that RS would be working on a sequel at the same time another company was working on a prequel. Recording dialog the last 9 months would mean ready for release in the fall, so they'd have been developed simultaneously. Why? You'd have to hold one at least a year to make all the money you could out of the 3rd. Dropping the 4th then would kill any expansions for the 3rd one.

Don't see this being anything but him being the voice in origins, which is a GOOD thing. But why would the company want to keep THAT under wraps if it was a done deal nearly a year ago?

Maybe he's doing the voice of batman and someone is doing the voice of bruce wayne? I'm going to preorder it as my bday gift. This reminds me of the new Metal Gear games and them claiming david hayter is no longer voicing snake and the backlash they're getting.

Not a chance in hell. He is the voice in Arckam Origins. No doubt about it at all.

Which means sales of the game in preorder will skyrocket when word gets out lol. i'm hoping amazon adds some more bonus stuff for preorder as right now it's just a 10.00 gift card. Mind you i start xmas shopping in october so i won't complain.

One of the preorders announced was Deathstroke DLC which allowed you to use him as a playable character. I can't remember which retailer has it or if its all of them but I'm too lazy to check so someone let me know.

Hopefully it's amazon. I actually ended up preordering Fall of Cybertron from gamestop because of the better deal on preordering. The worst one is the bonus you get for preordering deadpool on amazon: a 5.00 coupon towards a marvel graphic novel as long as it's sold and shipped by amazon and not a 3rd party seller.

Oh it does look fantastic as an opening animation but most of us (I assume) are holding assessment until we experience actual game play. I will admit that I would LOVE to see DC do a few of their movies in this style of computer animation. The renderfarm needs for a 90 minute movie in that style would be insane but I'm sure it would be worth it.

It's just a cutscene.

I expect the game will basically be exactly the same as the first two. And yeah, it may be cool, but I'm in no hurry to buy it. I want to see the game series continue, not be left with hanging plot threads.

If that's the fight clip, it's probably not even a cut scene. Just a bit put together for a teaser.

With the resources available any trailer SHOULD look that good. The renderfarm for that sequence wouldn't be anything major at all.

Great. So....why buy this other game then? Not Kevin Conroy, not continuing the story....why reason do I have to buy it new? If it includes plotlines which, along with the Arkham City DLC story, will be addressed in the 4th game, then maybe it'd be worth playing, but otherwise, who gives a crap?

bizarre timing to say the least. You don't record audio for a game 2 years in advance so this must be coming fairly soon. Very odd.

While I agree that it's only a cut scene, I don't see any reason to doubt that the game will be just as stunning as the last two...The mood seems spot on for me, and the details in the trailer point to bigger things as well...I liked the homage to the Dark Knight Returns as well...

Let's be honest, to say it's "merely" going to be the same kind of thing as the last two rather understates the impact of these games...The first was excellent, and the second, while being similar in many ways just blew it up...Both are among the best games I've played, and as a Batman fan, they're even more fun to play...The third installment looks set to follow in many regards, and while I would have liked Conroy to voice the character again, I don't see that as being final to whether it's a great game or not..

Of course..We'll know more when the in game footage is released..But for right now, this looks set to follow firmly in the previous two's footsteps..So I'm down from the start...I love these games...

Regards..

MOTHER ****ER!!! Why the holy hell is this happening?? Is this going to be a split up like the COD games? Activision one year and Tryarch the next except this is Rocksteady one year and Warner Montreal?? This is stupid.

Hehe...I don't know about that..But I do know that my uncle got a job doing voices for Assassins Creed III because of it...So that was kinda cool at least...

I'm right there with you. I have beat both games on all levels and reached 100% completion several times. I still play them. The games just never get old.

Totally.....The games are two of the very best I've had the pleasure playing...

I've finished both fully, but I still enjoy restarting them and running through it all again, simply because both games are huge enough, and full of enough interesting bits to keep it more than entertaining..(Plus, my girlfriend loves playing the fight games)..

If the new game was the same, but in a different setting somewhat (and that will be sure, Gotham before Arkham City), and with a storyline that matches the previous two? It'll be the best game of this year...I see no reason so far to doubt that that's the case...

It looks brilliant...And sounds better.....
