New Batman: Arkham game due this year?

Yeah no rocksteady, no Dini, and want to bet they replace Kevin Conroy as batman too? That would kill the game for the older gamers who bought them.

For me the biggest let down would be if they got someone else rather then conroy. The man basicly is Batman. As for the studio or writers being different illl wait till i know more about the actual game since there can be other great game developers.

Im mostly wondering at what scale its gonna be since from asylum to city they increased the map in size so now Gotham in all its glory maybe?

Wow momma. Would you look at that bat suit:

Like the look of Batman and Deathstroke. Hopefully the actual game will be as cool as it looks.

I think that WB Montreal will live up to it. The developers seem pretty confident at least. And an open world, living, breathing Gotham? Sounds great to me.

Also, on Conroy, he NEEDS to do it. His voice is just too iconic. But, lets say he doesn't, I think that the next pick could be Bruce Greenwood. Of course, I would be enraged if Conroy didnt do it, but I would still buy it if Greenwood did it.

If it isn't Conroy they could lose alot of older gamers who grew up with that batman. Greenwood's only done one run as batman and while good it may draw in younger fans.

Were gonna have to face it tho that they will change voices (if not now they will in the future). Like when it came to the joker noone came close to mark hammil's joker so was unfortenate to read that arkham city was his last time. Still hopin for a comeback tho :)

I'm just annoyed with there being a prequel while we have unanswered questions in the "present" of that gaming world. I mean, it's one thing if, for example, they turned the next entry into three separate entries (I'm lookin' at you, Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood/Revelations...), but it's quite another if they say "Right, well....maybe we'll get back to that later, and maybe we won't."

Yeah, I agree, with you Wes, especially having grown up with Conroys voice myself.

I really did enjoy Weller, but I don't think he could do a younger batman. I HOPE that they don't use Ben Mckenzie from Year One. It didn't feel right with me.

Over all, my hope is on Conroy.

May just be running into a scenario like Call of Duty which has 2 developers, Infinity Ward and Treyarch working on the franchise. rocksteady I believe is doing something for TMNT which is why they're not working on it and will probably comeback for the sequel since there were a some loose ends with City. It feels like a cash grab to me, something to just get another game out to ride on the success of the first two until Rocksteady does another?

I just really want to see a trailer for the game, Arkham City's trailer just wow'ed me and I'm hoping this does the same.
I don't mind that this one is a prequel because things happened to main characters in the last two installments and this gives options to mention those characters without spoiling the last two games.

I just hope they keep the mini battle games. I could play those forever. Reminds me of old school button mash gaming.

I could see that publisher wants a game now, RS can't do it now and won't give up their plans for a potential/actual sequel, so they get the existing engine etc and get somoene else to make a non-related story/game.
