New ANH latex Stormtrooper handguards

This my latest incarnation.

This even features one never before replicated detail: Knuckle indentions on the backside!

Note that this is the "curved edge" version we are used to. There a slightly differnt sculpt with an "straight edge" (mostly seen on the right hand), which account for 4 different kinds of hand guards seen in ANH

1) standard 1 (curved edge)
2) standard 2 (straight edge)
3) alternative (a.k.a hero)
4) cheese grater (seen on sandtrooper)

Feel free to comment!

Thanks,

karin has really perfected these. I really need to pick up a finished glove/pair. Right now I'm sporting a pair of R2Dans which are nice too.

Thanks Steve!

It was a 2-year-journey. But I had lots of help, info, and encouragement from several people, including Dan.

Hi Karin,

Good to see you here and offering your fantastic Handguards!

Excellent work, not sure I would go for weathered unless it was on a sandtrooper but they look great.
Is it difficult to cast latex like that?
I have only slush moulded it before.

I sort of followed this on and off on FISD but they're brilliant; the knuckle indentations just bring so much more to it.

So there is some love after all :)

Thanks everybody!

Abbadon1974,
It almost a slush casting, but with more latex. You will some kind of "return edge" out of thin latex.

And the weahtering is screen accurate, as Rocko said.

Look at this pic:

The right has a "straight edge" without knuckels, whereas the left has a more curvy edge (which we are all familiar with).

You can also see that the paint was rubbed off on certain areas.

Those are great I'm quite envious. I never really liked how my AM ones fit (or rather don't).
