New Airsoft PR On Evike

Got mine today. No battery or charger.
Looks like the freebies are over.
Be sure to include them with your intial order.

If you look at the customer review dates they are from '08 and '09. This leads me to believe it was a TM Thompson with a G&P kit they installed. Several other airsoft dealers would build the kit for you back in the day and charge double. That item is listed as out of stock.

OK I am not mistaken... What I unboxed was the mag, then. Makes sense since it was in the same isolated box as the pellets.

How was the battery packed when you unboxed everything? Was it tucked away somewhere or otherwise deceptively packaged (I didn't notice the mag box at first)?

I haven't thrown anything out yet, but am pretty sure I haven't overlooked anything.

I'll be pissed if they screwed me on the battery...

Same as me PH, I got nuthin'...

Selling? Or sold?

Evike still has them. Mine came from a batch delivered to Evike from the supplier last Friday, and their CR rep advised that batch caught them up on pre-orders.

A buyer would be a fool to pay that eBay price (or highly ill-informed).

The bidding was that high so it will sell for at least that much. Suckers

aaaaahhh...I didn't look at those dates, but that certainly explains it.

Gosh I want one of these...2 days until payday!!

Just got mine today...I LOVE this thing!!! The weight is impressive, to say the least, and having an actual metal pulse rifle in my hands is pretty amazing! The details all look perfect to my eye, but like others have noted, the grenade/shotgun door doesn't close all the way...not a major issue though.

I also love the color. While it may not be the official Brown Bess, the pulse rifle in my mind has always been olive drab, becuase that's what i saw onscreen as a kid...it also perfectly matches the krylon od I used to paint my nerf pulse rifle, so they display perfectly together.

I'll post some pics in my nerf thread with the two together...remarkably similar...the nerf one is just scaled up about 15%.

Will try to get it out and fire it this weekend and reprt back on accuracy and the like. i picked up a whack of heavier bbs though, so I'm not sure if that will affect accuracy at all.

Oh yea, and mine came with a battery and a charger. The charger was in the lower left corner of the box, and the battery was in the separate mini box with the bbs and clip.

It looks like there may be 2 versions of this: one with the "made in china" on the gun body and no battery/charger, and one with the "made in china" on the shroud with a battery and charger included.

Well mine will arrive this afternoon and from the looks of things it appears I may or may not get a battery + charger depending on which version I receive. Makes me wonder if there aren't any other differences other than the location of the "Made in China" markings that are less obvious (internal or construction wise). There a few different makers of AEG thompsons so maybe they end up pulling them from different sources when they assemble the PRs. I don't suppose we have anybody who lives close to each other who might be able to do comparisons of the two different flavors?

I will be looking forward to the side-by-side pictures in your Nerf thread Quest because when i was initially reading your thread I couldn't help but wonder if you had a PR replica to show comparisons too.,

Add in correctly closing breach.

I suppose for lack of battery and charger, I get a breach that closes properly.

By the way, what is the approximate dollar value of the batter and charger?

I emailed them about the shotgun port not closing right on mine. I got an email back within 24 hours from sales giving me a tech dept email so I dropped a copy to them including a photo of the issue. It took nearly a week for them to get back to me and they basically said we haven't had many complaints about that problem, sorry.

I do believe the spas cages were painted black, as were modified wood grips, stocks, and barrel vents. I'll have to hunt for them, but later photos from Bapty show some of the paint chipping off the spas cages, wearing off the grips, etc.

Yeah, I think so too... My breach closes without issue. But no battery :(

anyone know where the fuse is on this thing? I think I blew mine :/

It should be just behind the battery plug itself. Pull the battery out and then pull the plug out, should be back in there. That is if it follows the same wiring as my old G&P kit.

How easy (or difficult) is it to take this apart for repainting?

Are there points along the way that are risky, or may be difficulty to reassemble?

I checked behind the battery and can't see it there...I have a feeling it's at the back of the gun (the original thompson has it in the stock), which means taking the entire shroud off to get to it.

and yea, if anyone has any tips for taking it apart let me know...looks like I'll need to pick up some hex keys at the least, to get some of the plates off.

I asked Evike if the pulse rifle included a battery and charger. They replied that it does not come with battery or charger. They have to be purchased separately.

Nice find on the stock release...That had been bugging me!

As for the battery thing, I bought two of the 1st round and both came with battiers and chargers. One has a crapy mag that doesn't feed the BB's right.
One of the big differences I see is the Made in China. On mine it's on one of the shourd clamps and is painted on. The later one it's engraved on the rifle body..

Anyone build a sling bracket for theirs yet?

Can someone post a photo of the battery and charger that came with it? Does the battery rest free inside the SPAS and rattle? Or does it secure down somehow?

don't have a pic of it, but mine battery's about 8" long, and 3/4" in diameter...it fits tightly in a little nook inside the shotgun. The charger is just an ac adapter with the same plug as the rifle.

tried, unsuccessfully, to get mine apart today. I tugged and pried but it didn't want to budge. If anyone has got there's apart and has any pointers, it would definitely be appreciated. Am I going to need a heat gun to do it?

On the positive side, I got my orange tips off with a little hot water and a pair of pliers. No trouble there. Also sanded down the front "made in china" brackets and repainted them in Krylon OD. It's a little lighter than the rest of the gun, but matches close enough for my eye (the other brackets and panels are slightly off as well...might end up repainting all of em). The made in china thing is engraved in, not painted on, so it took a good deal of sanding to get it off. Came out nice and clean though.
