Netflix Recommendations Thread

????? Last I checked, neither Dexter, True Blood, Sparticus, Rome, Boardwalk Empire, or Game of Thrones were available on NetFlix.

I am still waiting on all of these so I can catch up on past seasons of all of them(well with the exception of Sparticus BE and GoT)

They all are if you get the DVD option too. Just get the 1 disc out at a time option, and in between discs you can watch whatever else is streaming.

Ya that would be good, but I can not afford the extra 7 or 8 a month right now. So I guess till I can, I will have to wait or watch them via torrents.

Noticed V/H/S on there and remembered hearing how it was the 'scariest movie ever'. It had some good creepy parts but I wouldn't call it scary.

I had to laugh at the guys in the last segment when they jokingly started chanting along with the crazy people in that attic. That would have been me and my friends, lol

Are there any movies currently streaming that are *actually* scary? I've heard I should check out Lake Mungo & Tale of Two Sisters; so far Lake Mungo is insanely boring

I JUST watched "VHS" last night and I really liked it! It wasn't perfect, but the first sequence with the creepy bug eyed girl and the last shot of the underbelly of a giant bat made that one!! I also liked the exorcism one as well, though I heard on the DVD there's an extra scene where the people in the car get out.

^ You know what my mean ol' girlfriend did to me *right* before we went to bed?? She looked at me with HUGE eyes and went 'I LIKE YOU.'

I'm new, so if some of these have been recommended before I apologize. My wife is disturbingly good at finding really great B movies.

1. Get the ****** (So apparently G R I n g O is a bad word?)
2. Goon
3. Wrecked
4. Cellmates
5. Justin Bieber, Never Say Never (j/k, wanted to see if you were paying attention.)
5. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

Best shows:

1. Walking Dead
2. American Horror Story
3. Weeds
4. White Collar
5. Psych

I've heard that Fringe will soon be on Netflix, as will 666 Park Ave. Which is cool, as I have a hard time getting control of the Tivo and work too much to actually sit through the commercials.

You need to get her to sign up on RPF just so I can giver her rep points for that.
Give it to me- I'll see that she gets it ;)

Maybe we can call it 'Get the Gibson' on here, lol. How was that anyway? I was under the impression that it was just one of those direct to video movies that gets made when an actor needs money :lol
But then again, some of those movies end up being awesome.

Some of my favorite documentary's.

The Wild and Wonderful Whites.

With Great power: The Stan Lee story
Revolution OS
Helvetica

Get the Gibson was actually pretty good. I don't think it ever hit theaters and he probably did do it for some quick cash. He may be a Jew-hating alcoholic, but he's still got some talent.

Loved Helvetica. Revolution OS was pretty good, too. Have to check out the rest of those. Jiro Dreams of Sushi is another really good documentary, as are Exit Through the Giftshop, and Note by Note.

Cypher
I can't believe this movie isn't more popular. Reminds me of Blade Runner crossed with Paycheck. Maybe toss in a little 13th Floor.

Oh, House of Cards is excellent. Some of the dialogue is a bit contrived, but the acting is all great, and the characters are interesting.
