G'day folks,

I need to make an eye setup for a new endo skull a friend is making for me and also himself.

I have a nice chrome flick swith but I really have no idea how to wire up the thing to run the two red leds for the endo's eyes.

One setup would be just on and off that would be for him. The other for my own skull. I am doing a battledamaged skull lying on it's side on the ground ie end of t3. So I want my eyes to flicker and die out etc etc on a loop. Sooooo.....bearing in mind I know nothing of electronics but serioulsy want to give this a go. Could some smart cookie/s help me out here?

Cheers

The closest thing I would suggest is the flickering LED candle. Bear in mind, there are tow version in the market, I think. One is using the three colour LED which glows from Red to Blue to Green and then flicker (or something like that but don't hold me on the sequencing :)). The other one is the one you will need, which is almost random flicker. You can see this if you open up the casing and there is a black blob on the circuit board. This is a microprocessor running the flicker on a loop.

The ones I got, more of simulates a real candle where it is lighted all the time with the occasional flicker, as if there is wind blowing. If this is the one that you are looking for, just remove the white led and replace it with a red one. but note the polarity of the LEDs.

Ok wow. Sounds very promosing lol I live in Tasmania. Do you have an online link you might post with what you are talking about for me please?

OK, I got them out and took some photos. You can read more from my blog here: Oh!pEnions: The LED Tealight

And here is an example website closer to you: LED Tealight Candles, Flameless Battery Operated - Melbourne business services - Gumtree Melbourne Free Classifieds

Or you can do a search on eBay. Shouldn't cost more than AUD5.00 for one or two, I think, unless they force you to buy a whole set.
