Need ref on the little rockets used with the 2nd season BSG pistol

Hey a question for the Battlestar Galactica fans... the "new style" FN-FiveSeven pistol has a little rocket round that they use once in awhile... does anybody have any reference on this? Is it a found object?

Any info or clearer pictures would be great. Or even name some episodes with better images of it (my pics are from "Valley of Darkness" and "Flight of the Phoenix").

OK in "Flight of the Phoenix" you sort of get to see the gray tail end of the explosive round... looks like three "fins" or half-cylinders fanning slightly at the end...

Apollo reaches up to pull down an ammo box, flips it over. You can see on the side there's a black label with white writing... probably a contents label. There seems to be a red label on top of the box.

This box is on Starbuck's table, but it doesn't seem to be the same kind of ammo box.

At first, I thought they were darts but their body was too thin. Then I started to think about those small CO2 cartridges. I could be wrong..
