Need Help with Reference for a TNG Engineering tool...

Hi.. I'm new here, I hope I'm not overstepping the mark by making my first post a cry for help.... Whilst out shopping the other day I came across a dirt cheap Halloween toy, a 'magic wand' that had cycling LED's down its clear handle.... It immediately reminded me that Geordi always used to use a tool with LED's cycling down a perspex tube with a square(ish) handgrip... I'd love to have a crack at one... But I cant find any reference pics out there can anyone help...?

I could be mixing up my props here, but I think it might have been a re-dress of Sulu's Console destroyer from the "Don't Call me tiny" scene from STIII...

Not overstepping at all! That is what this site is for. Unfortunately I can't help you with this particular request but with all the Star Trek fans here, surely someone has a pic of the piece in question. Welcome to the RPF!

I remember that one tool.

I was thinking of making one with a 4017 decade counter.

I saw an episode recently that had it featured, but can't remember which one (I'm watching the seasons in order) - season 4 I think.

I'll see if I can find it.

There were at least 2 versions of that prop.

Try doing a search as it has been brought up here a few times.

I'm sure someone will post some pics.

Can you remember what season? Or what happens in the episode? Maybe we can try to narrow it down.

Im guessing you are thinking of this one

Hi all, thanks for the input..... I've tried a search , but without getting the parameters right its needle in a haystack time.... as for when it was used, I think It was used quite consistently, on and off over the whole seven years...I found one really tiny indistict pic from Season two's 'peak performance'...
