Looking for info on the Bossk coverall. I know it has been discussed here in the past, but the search did not turn up much for results. I remember some content that was discussed: that it was one of a few vintage space-suits purchased by Lucasfilm, and that it appears very briefly on a different extra in the Cantina scene in ANH. There was also discussion about how this particular suit also appeared in annother sci-fi program. Might have been Lost in space????? Can anyone help please??? Much thanx,
D

Here's the pic of it used in the movie...I forget the exact name....it's a Harryhausen though. It's what it looks like "under pressure".

perhaps as an alternative is there such thing as a yellow jumpsuit similar to that used for X-Wing Pilots.

Id never noticed until now that Bossk also uses an X-Wing Pilot flack vest, this is what leads me to the assumption that a yellow Jumpsuit may be available

you can also catch a glimpse of this suit in the ANH cantina scene.

would like to see an accurate replica of this suit...

I think the flack vest on the Bossk suit and subsequent Cantina dude is part of the original space suit....the X-Wing flack vest and flight suits seem to be modelled after this "master"..........

thoughts?

i was just thinkin the same thing.

makes sense.

Next to Boba, Bossk is my favorite bounty hunter. I only wish a dead on, accurate mask, hands, feet would be made....everything I've seen to date looks like a really good "costume"....not a Trandoshan bounty hunter named "Bossk" :love

His wet looking scaly skin is what really make him look alive on screen....the other costumes I've seen all look dry and airbrushed. They were nice, but just not even close to what I'd be into persuing for display. Maybe someday our local "masters" will tackle him.

Someday perhaps....I've got the time...............................................

Here's one we did for our Outpost Bounty Hunters, cept for the head mask, hands and feet, the rest was made/sewn/fabricated locally here in Singapore. :)

I agree guys.... The ones used for reb pilots suits appear very similar, but looks like a few very minor differences in pleats. I'm gonna try to make one... :lol

Thats one of the best ones I've seen..... Especially the colors... Most don't get the skin color right, and look dry as DL suggested. That one actually looks kinda slimey or glossy ;)

Yes, the "flak vest" is part of the costume, which is really a mostly unmodified real pressure suit for high altitude pilots from the early 1960s. Two or three found their way to a costume rental house or somesuch in the UK, which is why they appeared in movies and Dr. Who episodes before SW. They were probably just rented for ANH and ESB (Bo Shek wears a black one). So yes, the rest of the flak vests would've been copies.

So the suit is not at all similar to the X-Wing coveralls.

The movie pictured above is First Men in the Moon:

Those suits appear in a brief scene at the beginning of the movie.
As Treadwell said they also appeared in an old black and white episode of Dr. Who.

I'm a big Bossk fan too.
I have the latex Bossk head that Glitch offered here many years ago which is a pretty darn good replica.
I've been trying to obtain a Schermuly anti-riot gun for awhile now without much luck.

but TW dont you think that the flak vest part of this costume is where the flak vest for the rebel pilots came from... at least close copies?

of course its not the same coverall flightsuit... that much is obvious, and i dont think anyone is suggesting that... or did i read you wrong? LOL.

and yeah bro that bossk get up is one of the best ive seen, the eyes look a little off... but still. id like to get a closer look at the mask if possible. and yeah bossk was my 2nd fave bounty hunter as well. ;)

i wonder if anyone has all 5 bounty hunters on display.

that right there... ooh and a vader... i could be done with props if i had all 6 fully accurate (i say that now, if i had em id want more. :( )

While the Rebel flightsuits aren't replicas of the Bossk pressure suit, it certainly seems to have been the inspiration for the orange Rebel flightsuits. They are a much simpler design of course and a simple racing jumpsuit is no substitute for an authentic pilots pressure suit, but the manner in which they were cobbled together certainly seems to have been to replicate the look of the Bossk pressure suit. 2 cents

I do think that Bossk is the best replica I've seen to date. The skin texture and color tones look very good.

Yes, thought I said as much. ;)

I have the hands, feet and mask already. I'm also looking for the Bossk suit. Does anyone know a source, or someone willing to make one?

Thanx,

Jay
