I have an idea for a T-shirt. I would love to have it silk screened, but my idea may be too big for silk screening. I want to apply a custom and detailed pattern to the entire outer surface of the shirt (think Abrams’ Trek uniforms, or Spider-man's movie suit.)
I thought an inexpensive (perhaps labor intensive) method would be to make a stamp. I want to use the color black and stamp it onto a gray T-shirt. The coverage does not have to be perfect, but the nicer the transfer, the better the finished shirt of course.
What can I do to make/buy a custom stamp and what ink/paint should I use for a lasting t-shirt? I would most likely only wash the thing in a hand wash cycle or something to preserve the stamping.
