NECA 1:4 Scale PREDATOR Figure

The Guardian looks pretty sweet. Wish the paint was a little darker though, looks too clean or bright.

Hope to see them do the the likes of Falconer, Berserker etc in 1/4 scale.

Although we still don't have the Elder or Hippe so it's probably gonna be a few years yet. :(
 
Looks like the P2 face paint needs to be refined. It looks very simplistic compared to new Hot Toys P2, which is very accurate and only 14 inches tall. It would'nt take much to fix. More striping across the brow and finer smaller diamond pattern on the top of the head. I hope Neca pays attention to this because their 1/4 scale predators are fantastic so why skimp on paint details. Make him look vicious--- not meek.

Even though the neca 1/4 scale P1 was awesome i still think the paint job on the face was a bit slap dash. I see what you mean actias, but its nothing a small repaint can't fix.
 
I think for someone who is an advocate on just buying everything NECA in 1/4th scale. I too will have to agree with actias on this one I was looking very hard for a non-photoshoot based HT 1/6th scale P2 and one was indeed found at SDCC this passed July I think. I love NECA as far as size and accurate sculpt in detail the paint scheme as always have been left to question on both sides of the spectrum from both companies, but I think HT takes the cake when it comes to the paint on the unmasked P2 which is sad to say because I always have NECA's back on their line of toys when it becomes to affordability. I never see me spending over $200 for something that only scales in plastic 14".

To the few who are complaining about the paint app's (as did I) or comparing to Hot Toys, you have to remember compared to the likes of Hot Toys these are budget figures. Neca will probably never reach that standard but the reason alot of us still stick with Neca is because of their affordability.
I'm not saying Neca are bad. I own 11 Predator Neca figures myself. Its just they cant really be compared to Hot Toys in the detail department.
 
Not really complaining. Just making an observation and hoping Neca sees the chatter and decides to tighten up or tweak the final product :)
 
they won't. this is the furthest they go with paint apps. they'll never be even close to HT's paintjobs - but at least NECA's sculpts blow HT out of the water.

i really can't stop wondering why won't they match the colors of armor and biohelmets. this **** makes the figures look like kid's toys.

i wonder about this all the damn time! Well gives us a reason to repaint the figures.
