Hmmm, looks like he might be an inch or two taller than most large scale neca figures. Let's hope so. He'd look funny standing next to one of the others at about the same height.

So decapitating these... I was going to buy 3 to see if I could decide on 1 in-hand, but not a chance, all the sculpts look gorgeous. We just have to see the masked one.
 
Hi there everyone - I'm new to the board...just joined like 5 minutes ago - and the reason I joined was this thread. I just found out about these 19" Predator figures and I about went into heart failure after I pissed myself! I've been a huge Predator fan...since I was a teenager watching the first movie in the theater when it was released....now I'm an old fart, with a wife and kids in high school myself and I'm going to have to explain why I just dropped over $220 on 3 toys that are bigger then the family dog. But heck I thought that was reasonable...I mean I've seen the Hot Toys figures but they have been priced way out of my price range - I was lucky enough today to scamble and pre-order all three of these figures today from two different places.

I do have a few questions that some of you might be able to answer. First these guys are to be released this spring but do we actual know a release date? Also will NECA be releasing any other 19" 1/4 scale Predator figures? I found the Alien today as well today (I know he isn't a Predator but think he will look great displayed like in the photos posted here) and I gabbed him for $35 with free shipping on Amazon of all places.

So thanks in advance to any answers - and I look forward to being a member of this group!

As for your questions, the figures are scheduled to hit April 2011. Knowing NECA and distribution however, I'd say May is more likely. When it comes to other 1/4-scale Predators, most of us would agree that really depends on how well this one sells. Don't worry though; we're all hoping for a 19" P2 and P2 Elder as well .

I got the one with open mouth >)
I recently got a berserker from hot toys, but still really wanted a classic predator. and when I saw him (and how big he is) I really just couldn't resist!

Having contacted my regular retailer by mail twice and not getting any answers I'm beginning to have doubt of being able to get my hands on one masked here in the netherlands...
