NBC's Community

That was Jason Alexander :lol

It was a great episode definitely. I can't believe there's only just a handful of episodes left.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will get another season.

Came across this today.
Mini-documentary on a Day in the Life of Joel McHale. It shows a lot of what it's like on set and behind the scenes of Community, if anybody's interested. This was shot while they were working on the end of season three.
Just figured out the reason that I ran into Joel at the bank that one time was that the bank's in the same complex where E! shoots "The Soup" and I went to the bank on a Wednesday. I can confirm that Joel still drives that Porsche.

Tonight was by far my favorite episode this season! (So far) Great impressions of each other from everybody. I always thought the Britta / Troy relationship was a little forced, except for the ballerina / dancing episode where they had some great chemistry. Or maybe it was just the age throwing me off. Troy's character being 22 or 23? Whatever season had Troy's birthday where he could drink at the bar. And Britta being 27-29? Anyway a lot of solid jokes tonight, plus Dean becoming Jeff... Hehe

Absolutely loved tonight's episode! Considering Jim Rash wrote it and the man has an Oscar for screenwriting, I wasn't too surprised by how great it was.

If only they'd've had him write the whole season.

Thats a even worse age gap! But then again, they did break up because Troy wasn't mature enough. At least he got to tap some sweet sweet Britta. "Man, Somebody is sure working their way around the table..arent you?" - Pierce

Haven't seen this week's episode yet, but yeah.. Their relationship was kind of creepy. At least Jeff and Annie had the good sense to avoid their tension. Ironically, I looked up the actress who plays Annie on IMDB and she's the same age as the actress who plays Britta.

And here I was thinking the show had just gone sideways and that was it. They hit a dip at the start of the season which they're quickly climbing out of. The past 2-3 episodes are a strong return to the show I loved so much.
I, too, am glad that Troy and Bitta are done. I never bought into it. The character of Britta just doesn't seem to deal with relationships at all (none of them do, now that I think on it) but I think Troy could with the right person.
I've seen that they're no longer playing off Annie so much as a kid anymore, which is good as she isn't pulling off a 'early 20s' look as easily as she did at the start of the show. After the 'fistfull of paintballs' ending of season 2, I didn't see her as a kid after that.
Jim Rash really is amazing, I had no idea he wrote last night's episode. He did a great job 'chanelling' Jeff and I loved Annie's reaction to it and how she had no idea why it was affecting her like that!

This show is still great!

Didja guys hear?

Community's been renewed for a 5th season!

I'm personally very happy about this!

Wait... So Jeff will just swing by to see the gang each episode, now
that he's graduated? Ha

Any word if Chevy would re-turn?

I liked the closing episode to this season, but I felt something was missing for being the last episode ever of Community. Maybe I just need to re-watch it since a lot happened. I'm curious about The Offices last epic two hour series ender episode next week though.

Chevy hated the show, there's almost no chance he'd ever be back.

Not that they'd necessarily go that direction, but Harmon said that he titled the show "Community" because it could refer to the community of the study group in addition to the college, and that it wouldn't have to alway be set at the college. Based on that there's nothing that requires that season 5 be set at Greendale.

Hopefully next season gets better scheduling than this season did.

That's neat! I would love to see more Jeff being Jeff in the Court Room on cases and the Dean being Jeff's kooky neighbor.

Also Dan Harmon "may", no deals in place yet, return for season 5, with Chevy gone.

Wow, you just made my day with this news! I've been scared to look into anything on the future of the show as I didn't want to hear it was cancelled...

Two things.
One: Did anyone else catch Dan Harmon's cameo in the 4th season of Arrested Development? A nice little gesture from one brilliant comedy to another.

And two: Dan Harmon has publicly stated that he's in negotiations to return for Community Season 5. This timeline is just getting brighter and brighter.
