Narcissus Builders Club N Stuff.

Random render update, at last with half decent lighting. I've settled on the solid scoops and have included panel lines now. Thanks for the input, guys.

Paul, I've fixed the quarter panels and am putting together the lower engine revisions. No further quibbles re the perspex at this time except that thing I mentioned re the central longitudinal ridge thing - maybe check the radius of the semicircular end and the taper 'cos I get a slightly different result. Other than that all good for the stern.

PS I'm starting to think it would be fun to grow a 1/48 version too. Dunno about greeblieing it but I think we're gonna end up with enough digital assets to knock off better than half the job anyway.

A half scale kit would be ideal for many people.
Could even grow some of the kit parts scaled down and then scratch the rest. As Martyn says, most of the work is already done.

Yup. All the wheel and pipe greebles would be dead easy. Ditto flat panel types. There's really only a few that would be a challenge and we could potentially get away with some genuine kit parts from 1/72 versions of things that are 1/35 on the original.

First things first, but it's fun to think about.

With thanks to Martyn, I now have a set of the beta version of the 3D printed lower engines and wing clamps (both of which have since been modified for their final incarnation).

The engines have not yet been fixed into position, but for the clamps I added a "plug" on the back which is a push fit into the armature frame.
This allows their removal at anytime and the option of mounting the model from the side.

The other additions to the ship over the weekend are the pieces that are on the top and run down the top panel to the nose, as well as the 4 trim pieces that run along the edge of the ship from back to front.

This just leaves the rear half of the ship and the central front panel styrene layouts to be finished off.

"Can you guess what it is yet?" I thought that was just a Rolf Harris line, I guess he is from Perth :)
