Mystery X-Wing

I do a re-paint for a very good friend on a mystery X-Wing. It needs more weathering and used look.
You can see a picture of it on my site www.spaceshop-online.de in the Forum (Community) under "Star Wars".

The one in the back is my CC/Salzo.

It looks a bit shorter than mine/CC unless it's the angle of the pic, but i would say it's an ICONS, or a recast of an ICONS, i've seen recasts of the ICONS on ebay from time to time....

I'm unclear... Is this a quiz? Or a request for help in identifying it?

It's no quiz or request. It's just a show off. I know the origins but the owner does not want to reveal the secret behind this built (at least not yet at this time).

Thought it would be something else/fresh than all these CCs, Maxis, Icons and Hasbro converts we saw in the last time :)

Well my next guess would be a complete scratchbuild or a restored casting of an ILM one.....or a combo of the two

It's a clean up of a pyro cast that has been floating around you can tell it's a pyro or rework based on the aft section.

We need (1) to see the area where the wings meet and (2) know if there are any wires sticking out of it on the pilot's right side (or left, for that matter)

Not to be rude but who cares :p I mean it's Icons, CC, maxis, it's trivial it has 4 wings a hulll 4 laser cannons, it's a X-wing right you can't make it any more exciting in my opinion :rolleyes Show me how it was built thats the real stuff..
Regards,
Michael

If the owner doesn't want to delve too much into the origins of this model, can we all just respect that and not get into speculation that Spiker won't be able to confirm or deny anyhow? :)

Respect is not a problem as far as Iam concerned :D Just thought it was kind of odd :rolleyes No offense ment :thumbsup

Not aimed at you exclusively, 3D. Just about the general trend of the conversation. :)

Oh snap. Whoever casted, recasted, or scratched it looks fine. It came from a box with foam peanuts.
