My Vader ROTS Costume.

Hey guys my name is Gustavo and Im from Mexico. I wanted to show you my Vader Suit which i have done a lot of work on. I normaly wear it my self but this time i asked a friend of mine to suit up so i could take the pics my self. We have almost the same build so it looks about the same on me.



So what you think?

Hehehe thanks well here it goes

1. MR Lid
2. FG Rubies recast chest armor. Sorry nothing else is available that is screen accurate
3. CP body suit (Eco leather)
4. Home made Wool cape
5. Wool inner robe made by Maia
6. Home made Chest box (Machined delrin and aluminum parts, designed by me)
7. Home made Belt and boxes (same as avobe)
8. Cheap superhero pleather boots
9. FG shins by Porty
10. Modified ESB ligntsaber to ROTS by me.
11. Am i missing something???

By the way im 6 feet and weigh about 220 lbs my friend here is also 6 feet tall but he weighs about 210 lbs. Just for reference. In suit I measure about 6´5"

I have a MR lid on the way and have real rubies armor (wish I had FG though). I planned on going with the CP suit (is that their gloves too?). May get their robes and cape too, but I'm not positive. My chestbox and shins will be rubies also as I fell like Rubies really nailed those pieces.

CP body suit or LA is the best way to go. However my gloves are Sitharmor, they are better than the CP ones. Get them at the bay.

The rubies chest box is very good, just change the green and red lights... Rubies shins are great too, I would remove the backing and just add normal straps.

On the cape and Robe set, just make sure you specify the newer versions for ROTS. The old version was just plain ol trilogy and did not look riht for ROTS.

You will love the MR lid trust me :love

Means a lot to me. Never have I worked on such a time consuming and challenging task as this. I still need to tweak a few things here and there but overall im very happy with the look.

Looks like a real leather one!.
So not so bad as i thought , because eco leather is a kind of pleather , isn't it?
And pleather is..well ..not so nice.

Where you get the cod piece ? CP or Fenix or also selfmade?

Yup its the ECO, and honestly it does look and feel like leather. Everyone that has seen it in person has told me that it is real leather... cant tell the difference, however if you feel it and smell it it will be a diferent story.

The cod is my third or fourth iteration, still not 100% happy but it will do for now. I like many are waiting for AP, CP or Fenix to come up with a decent ROTS COD.

I'll take a side by side picture against the Rubies suit later today so you can see the difference, maybe it will make your decision easier. I had no choice because i was low on budget, but i was happy with what i got. I have given some thought on buying a real leather suit but i haven't had an issue with this one and everyone thinks its the real thing.

Anyone here have a real leather vader suit that can take some closeup pics? also can you see if you can capture the smell in a file and attach it here too? :lol

It happened to me too.. I really wanted to go ESB but there were a lot of things that made me change my mind and go ROTS.
