Here's a pic of me and my daughter on Halloween... as you can see I haven't quite finished painting the Gaffi... still working on the woodgrain... I'll post some more pics of the whole weapon soon...
Thanks! I found someone to grind down my spike for me, however I've been examining photos and I'm noticing (not sure how I didn't see this before) that the spike is pounded into the metal tube, forcing the tube to take on a "square-like" shape to accommodate the square end of the spike.
Not sure how to achieve this. Any suggestions?
Although, a lot of the "hero" shots the tube is still round... hmmm.
I know this is a thread on the gaffi stick but but I just have to say:
AWESOME job on the mask!
I have a Godzilla Tusken Raider mask kit standing around, waiting for me to get the propper time.
I hope I'll do just half as good a job on it like you have!

Just the photo I posted of me in the Tusken garb... still need to finish painting the Gaffi. Getting that faux wood grain effect with spray stains has been more challenging than anticipated.
I'd happily take any advice anyone has to offer... it doesn't adhere very well (beads up a lot) and the end result so far has been a glossy finish that I keep lightly sanding. :wacko
Making the costume into a life-size mannequin, so I will be finishing sometime soon. Can't have him without his weapon of choice!
