So here are all my current scratch builds and my first hasbro toy conversion. I thought I would post the rest after not getting layed into for my first build I posted. It's great to here the comments and feedback from modelers of your caliber, your work has always been inspirational and has the type of quality I shoot for with my builds. So thanks for looking and let me know what you think.
A little bit on each one:
The tie fighter is the hasbro..OTC maybe, I cant remember for sure but that was mostly just a simple grey repaint and I shaved off some of the bulky toy looking pieces as well as extending the main sphere to meet the edges of the top hatch, rebuilt the cockpit and added a little detail. finally I filled in the screw holes and all the thick seems, especially by the wings.
The Y-wing is all scratch, 27.5" long which I believe puts it at the same size as the studio model and also about in scale with the 3.75" figures. Detaling was all free hand and the paint was mostly airbrushing with a lot of dirty washes.
The Home one Mon Calamari Cruiser is unique I think because I have litterally never seen a build of this. I've seen a few of the tan liberty cruiser but never this one. Its about 54" long made of thick styrene ribs with thinner plastic layed over them. The paint was tricky because theres a lot going on but just multiple layers of different colors and patterens. This was by far the most frusterating to build.
The Medical Frigate was just finished last week and I think it turned out pretty well. Its 36" long and filled with kit bashed parts. The falcon is just the little micro machines one I had from when I was a kid.
I have more pics coming but they are coming off my phone so it takes a bit to get them uploaded. Again tell me what you think and I can always snap more pics so if there are specific things you want to see just let me know and I will grab some pics. Thanks for looking!
