Here are a few pics showing the process of sculpting onto peices of pipe that I used as bases. As you can see, I made templates of the armour pieces first and then glued the bits of pipe to the HIPS templates. I then used decorators filler to sculpt with and then formed over the sculpts and back filled the formings with body filler.

The scout helmet sculpt hasn't been touched for quite some time now. I will get around to finishing that someday, but I have other projects to finish off first.
