My Sonic family...

Here are some pics of my "quality" sonics. (No CO toys versions, etc.)

Just got my new RussRep Davison sonic and thought it about time to take some family photos.

First up, my Tom Baker Sonic. We had this machined for our fan series from a member or the TPZ named Matt White. He did an awesome job based on schematics that were found on-line, thanks to google! He was going to make a limited run, but I think this is the only that he actually produced. (He ripped a few people off too, which I still feel bad about as I was the one he was using to spread the word) Some of the pics are a bit crappy!

Anyhow, on to the show.

And some details...

Russ on the left, Matt on the right.

Russ has a bigger, thicker halo ring and the neck sinks lower into the body.

Winner...Russ!

005-4.jpg

Necks are different in groove depth and number of. Like them both the same.

Winner...Tie.

011-3.jpg

Matt's has the GOTD Rising halo. Winner...Matt!

016-4.jpg

Back of the bullets are different as well. No particular reason, I like Matt's more.

Winner...Matt.

006-3.jpg

Back cuts are diffenet widths. Don't like one more than the other.

Winner...Tie!

008-5.jpg

Russ on the left, Matt on the right.

The Matt version has a thicker wall, which is what it looks like on the GOTD episode.

Winner...Matt.

Over all, there is enough variation to love them both quite a bit. Though I must admit, if I was hard pressed for cash and had to let one go... I would keep Russ'

And here is the whole family...

Tom, Peter, Colin and David.

Just out of curiousity..how does the emitter bullet engineering vary from Russ's to the other one that you have? Is it pressure fitted as Russ's is or does it have a more solid contruction?

Very nice. I wish Matt would have completed his run of 10.

I just got my Russ Baker today.

Great pics Thad...thanks for sharing with us.

I like the emitter bullet assembly on the Matt White sonic butt he emitter ring on the RB sonic is much better. Even though the emitter extends on the Matt White version, I prefer the over all body on the RB sonic though I agree on the thickness of the grip on the Matt White sonic looks VERY nice. I also like the little allan screw on the base of the Matt White sonic a bit better. Just has a nice look to it. Still, I love my older model RB sonic so I'm sure I'll love the new one he made just fine. ^_^
