Its been over year since I finished my Vader Costume with the help of many many people here on the RPF.

Well, Not long ago, I was out at a book signing with the 501'st at a local mall, when I decided I wanted GOOD pics taken of my outfit with a couple of Stormtroopers.

So here are some new pics of my costume. Yes, I know I need new gloves, and I need yet anothr new pair of Shins.. My legs are too damn long..

Wow great Vader costume! :thumbsup

Although the first pic looks like Vader and the boys are about to have a 'ho down' with all that belt-grabbin' goin' on :lol

Cheers,
John

The same reason Vader often either grabs his belt or places his hands behind his back. He has no pockets and doesn't know what to do w/ his hands.

And the troopers weren't allowed to have their blasters in the mall.

Mate, I hope you're proud of your suit because you bloody well should be, that looks fantastic!!!

It's a shame that the troopers couldn't have their balsters though :(

Cheers,

WHAT? I didn't comment on this yet? Unbelievable!

Forgive me... that is a lovely suit and armor you got there... very cool looking! :thumbsup

Wow!

Fantastic costume - VERY accurate, and you fill it out great.

Thanks for the comments. The wife and I worked very hard on it a while back. I wore this suit at C IV, and I had nothing but positive comments about it.

I still need more accurate gloves though. Those just have too much flare. And the dome needs a re-paint. Trooping does terrible things to the helmet...

Very nice photos, and nice suit. I really like that you waited til you could get some nice scenario with help of stormtroopers.

My only suggestion.
Put some padding in the top of the mask so your helmet dont fall to much down.Doing this you automaticly placed your mask correctly resting on your head and not your shoulders.

Yup. I know. I'm working on findng better padding to do it with. I need better than just plain 'foam'.

Looks great brotha!

Get some pipe insulation and cut length ways to beef up the padding...perhaps even think about lowering the slots lower on the facemask where the straps attach. That would give you more support and keep the mask from riding down. The dome is heavy...;)
