My REAL Stormtrooper Blaster

I just picked up my British Sterling 9mm Semi-Auto last night. WOW, what a beast! This thing is HEAVY. As I stated earlier in a separate thread, the barrel on the Semi-auto has to be 16" long. It had a little 9mm barrel sticking out the end, so I found a place online that sells a mock/fake suppressor for it. I think it makes all the difference in the world.

That looks great, I like the way you have taken your own stance on the blaster.
I have just nearly completed my Sterling E11, So I will start a showoff thread soon..
Thanks for sharing......:thumbsup

Wow--extremely tempted to try and get ahold of one of these. Do you have any pics of the front end of the weapon where the bayonet lug is on the regular full auto Sterling? Curious to see how easy it would be to back-convert that area to the standard Sterling look (if that's even legal--but just exploring ideas here)?

Nice score :)

Thanks fellas. Actually when I posted this, I had to edit the photo and I accidentally deleted the line above the gun. The line basically said this is what it WILL look like. I did a little photoshop job by putting on the rubber grips and scope/mount.

Here is what it really looks like today:

As far as the barrel, it you unscrew the "suppressor" you will see the barrel and a threaded section of the barrel next to the body/receiver. There is no way to make it look JUST like the real one, unless you get a Short Barrel License for it and pay a gunsmith to then turn it down for you and install the correct part. I'm not saying you CAN'T do it, but you're looking around $350-400 to get that done probably.

That is very cool. Too bad they didn't outfit some of the E-11's with those.

Does it fire?

Absolutely!

They are re-manufactured from original Sterling L2A3 MK-4 parts. They are built onto new receivers incorporating MK-6 semi-auto parts by Wise-Lite Arms of Texas, and distributed by Century Arms.

They are solid and very well made.

The Mk-7 pistol is also coming soon.

I picked one of those up a few months ago...one of my distributors knew I was waiting and held one for me. Mine had a horrible finish, the barrel nut sucked, and the long barrel just left me cold. I sold it a few weeks ago, after cutting the barrel back and welding a FAL flash hider on it for the buyer (who also hated the long barrel).

I'm waiting on the pistol version now (sigh).

I hated the barrel too but don't mind it now with the faux suppressor. It ran like a dream this weekend. I put 300 rnds through it without 1 misfire. Great rifle.

Alex are they making this in a pistol version? Or is it a different model? The finish on mine isn't bad at all. I hope it will last though.

My spies told me that they were working up a regular barrel version without the stock. Of course, the same guys told me that this (rifle) version would be shipping two years ago...
