Probably , but as you know Ebay is a crap shoot , everyone says they are going to spend big bucks , but then it closes for pennies on the dollar , he was happy with what he got , he's not greedy , just cleaning out the clutter , but like I said , I convinced him to just let these auctions run their course for now on .

....Jack Sparrow pistol ended early again. Despite being against the rules on eBay this is just a waste of time for everyone watching. Everyone who is genuinly interested doesn't bid untill the last few minutes. I give up :thumbsdown

Its not against the rules , I have the right to pull any auction at any time , BTW as I said before , its not my choice , he got a substantial offer and after Umas knife not doing very well for him , he took a great offer , everyone says there willing to throw down the cash and then they just dont , Ebay is where everyone goes for a deal ,not full price , so give me a break .

I'm not giving you a hard time, just stating a fact, you can't say we're all saying we're going to "throw down the cash and just don't" when you're not even letting the auctions (3 Jack pistols and 1 of the Barbossa pistols) run for a few days before taking them down. As you can see from my site in my sig, I have quite a few original props and am very aware of what realistic prices to pay for big name items like this would be. It's a generalisation to say eBay is where people go for a deal, not full price, as that is rarely the case with items like this.

...and it IS against the rules. Both here (to advertise your sales anywhere but the JY) and this is from eBays T&C's:

eBay prohibits email offers to buy or sell listed items outside the eBay web site. Offers of this nature circumvent eBay's fee structure and are a potential fraud risk for both buyers and sellers.
Some examples of outside such offers include:

• Using information obtained through eBay to offer to buy or sell a listed item outside of eBay.
  
• Cancelling a listing to sell to a buyer who became aware of the item through eBay.
  
• Ending a listing early to sell the item at a higher price to the winning bidder.
  
• Offering to sell an item to a bidder in a Reserve Not Met listing.
  
• Offering to sell duplicate or additional merchandise to underbidders.
  

It's not a matter of opinion I'm stating. that's the rules. I appreciate what you're saying about them not being yours, but plugging it here is what caused the interest. It's a shame that every single auction for the items I was interested in was pulled, but had it not been advertised here, there would have been no issue. It's not even a matter of sour grapes, I would have been happy to make a serious offer myself, but as was mentioned earlier in the thread, there was a question displayed on the bottom of the first pistol listed that asked if you would sell to them for a fixed price and the answer was no.

First off you are giving me a hard time , so just back off , second none of these "rules" were violated , As I said I did not violate any ebay rules , all these props were shown long before the auctions went up , so what ever Mr Ebay Cop ,Maybe you can put in for a job with them .
