so i am in the processes of getting a pimp daddy dolphin phaser but i have had this playmates phaser since the early 90's. after i saw the conversion on youtube i was like... hey i have one of those. so after going though the boxes my wifed deemed to childesh to keep in the house LOL, i found it, with the same batteries from 90 something, and it still worked... so i carefully pulled it apart and started my 'i have no real clue what im doing but that wont stop me now! but if you have any suggestions please let me know...
just pulled apart
a closer shot of the front and back, i needed to fill in the huge gaping hole where there clip went...
closer of the front, where the 'energy display' is... and i am looking for a nice electronics kit for it...
after a light sanding to see the imperfections...
i found a lot of little pits and low spots so i added some bondo to the hole in teh back and some of the spots that i could find, then sanded them down with a light sandpaper, i am afraid to sand through the plastic lol
and in my rush and i guess bad choice making i wanted to add a small slit to the top part where the speaker is but totally messed it up and had to re-bondo
i sanded out the open mark on the battery cover and used a light primer to get a feel for it...
