My Office/Prop Room/Museum......Pics!!!

Very nice man!!!
Care to tell us a little more about the sculpt and the accuracy of the robe?

I can definitely relate to that look .. check it out:

Great addition with Emperor Palpatine. Just one tiny thing, is it just me or does he appear too upright? Shouldn't there be more of a hunch about him?

Very nice room, still! :thumbsup

It is a museum of sorts. Word has gotten around and I get a pretty good flow of visitors.

If you build it, they will come.

Amazing displays, vaderdarth. Too many awesome pieces to comment on, so I will just give the whole collection and presentation two thumbs way up :thumbsup :thumbsup.

Thanks guys. This mannequin is not able to bend forward, but the final one will be. However, there were times when the emperor did stand upright. Particularly near the end when he didn't use the cane, but did use force lightning. The bending over thing was just for appearances IMHO, as he wasn't the least bit feeble while he was frying a couple of Skywalkers. :)

I don't see a problem with offering hoods only for those who have busts. That would be a question for Hermes. I'll defer that to him.

I appreciate the comments fellas. This is just the prototype, and I've already got a couple of tweaks to make and of course Hermes will also make the tweaks on the robes he sells.

As for the accuracy, I'm extremely happy with the design. I fed my input to Hermes who actually created the patterns. We made tweaks following each step of assembling and incorporated all the screen details we could uncover into this pattern. I don't think you'll be the least bit unhappy with the results. As cool as this setup looks in the photos, keep in mind that I only threw it together in about 5 minutes as I was running behind schedule. With a proper mannequin, it will look even better.

I airbrushed it and I have to say, it looks far better in person than in my photos. The colors look really dark in these pics, most likely due to the poor lighting. I'll light him up better in the next ones. :) I wish someone would make some decent latex hands for these puppies. I need some for my old ben as well. The only ones I saw at the halloween store were about 3 sizes too large. I know they have to be one size fits all, but man they were huge.

Dave :)

Dave,
I know you and I will never get along.
That being said, I'd still never let my dislike for someone to effect my opinions about their pieces. If the work is good, then it transcends everything.

I really like your display room as it's very well done. Regardless of how I feel about you personally, my opinion is unaffected.

In another thread, I made a comment about the fabric on your emperor display not being the same as the screen used. I comment I made only because it was being claimed as such and didn't want people to be misinformed.
I made the comment as a genuine observation, and it has nothing to do with my personal issues with you.

(post edited so that it wouldn't be out of context)

Gino, I respecfully request that you remove your post from this thread. Previous comments were directed to someone else besides you. Your input is not appreciated in my threads. I've asked you a million times to stay out of my threads. I kindly ask you again to grant my request.

Thanks in advance,

Dave :)

This collection is amazing love the Ben statue and the studio scale models are totally awesome. Lets forget the petty disagreements and get back to the collection!

Not everyone gets it. :)
I propose a new motto...

The RPF: Not Everyone Gets It.

Works on SO many levels! :lol

Fabulous office, by the way...it's tough to explain, but I like the balance between "stuff" and "not stuff." Clearly dedicated without being overwhelming. And darnit, I just love how the ships are mounted.
