Here is my newest creation, the Leap of Faith painting. I finally finished it thanks to some great pointers from another member. This was a trial run with 3 backing boards. I'm going to do one more with 4 at some point. Believe it or not, the wife actually LIKED it, and even let me hang it over my prop shelf!!!!

That is just awesome!

Looks great, I really like the black boards behind it for some reason.

Thanks. That is the way it appears in the film, except there are 4 dark boards instead of 3.

Oh, and I LOVE your username!

That might explain it, I haven't seen the third film in a while.

The Stig does rule, I'm surprised how big the show is with Americans now.

Amazing! I still need to do the boards and mounting for mine - any tips on construction?

It's pretty straightforward. I can't reveal the aging on my boards, but I'm sure you can figure out something. As for construction, just 1 inch wood screws strategically placed.

The trick is to make sure you have the image centered. However, center the top board, and all the others will fall in line.

No, I used a jpg image that I laser printed onto high quality paper, then bonded the paper to the wood, then aged the edges, put on a coat of polyurethane, did some of my own touch up painting, then another coat of poly.

Don't apologize. Everything Indiana Jones related can be found at the Club Obi Wan forum www.indygear.com/cow.

If it is in the movies, you can find info about it there. You can find me there too with this same username.

So to clarify; the leap of Faith painted section (without wood panels) is 12.25" by 16" in size? I am going off to the printers and I just want to check before going.

Kind regards,

Paulio.
