My New Falcon-Dean D. Repaint

Well, with my move out of the country having fallen through, I decided to get another Falcon. Even though the repaint I did on my last one looked fairly nice I decided the only way I would be completely happy is if I had a paint job on the Falcon that would be accurate to the filming model, and my skills aren't up to that challenge. Dean Dymerski was kind enough to repaint her for me, and judging from the pictures I received today he has done another fine job replicating the Falcon paint job. Here are a few of the pics he sent me, I'll post some larger ones when she arrives.

Oh, has anyone else had a problem with the piece connecting between the mandible and the saucer that I've circled in red being extremely crooked? Not only are they both not straight front to back, but they also lean outward top to bottom, just crooked all around. My last Falcon had this exact same problem(along with defective lighting) and being such a large piece it was very obvious, I thought surely I wouldn't receive another one with the same problem but it appears that I have. If I've received two Falcons this way then it must be pretty common, and I feel that such a large and prominent piece being put on so sloppily and crooked on such an expensive piece is unacceptable. Well, Dean's fantastic paint work makes up for the shortcomings, but that still makes me mad as hell, especially after all the trouble I had with the last one.

Recently a member here showed off their MR Y-Wing repaint. After looking at it I knew that I would have to repaint mine. When I considered this I thought well at least I am satisfied with the falcon, so I wont have to repaint that. Then you come along with your pictures. That is the best looking falcon that I have seen, a work of art.

Yup, they're crooked on mine and in every photo of others that I've seen.

While we're at it, my starboard side mandible is skewed upward. Anyone else have this problem? Look at it from the side compared to the centerline of the ship and the other mandible.

That is indeed a beautiful Falcon repaint you have there NightRider :thumbsup Everytime I look at my MR Falcon, eventhough I like the paintjob, I realise a repaint (non-MR) could make it so much better!
